AWFUL! If you are in this area, visit CLIQUE coffee bar (1600 East Beltline) instead where the coffee, food items and service are tops! I began going to Biggby on Fuller because it is the closest coffee shop to my house and because it is a Michigan based business. I suffered through 2 years of horrible service, disgusting food and mediocre coffee that costs too much solely based on these two things. I finally, after my last visit realized it's just not worth it. I had only one car with one person in it in front of me and it took 20 minutes to place my order! First, they obviously messed up that persons order so I waited patiently. Then, I asked a simple question about one of their teas which by description looked similiar to chai and asked for a comparison and if that drink had caffeine (which is what I wanted). The uneducated worker argued that "all tea is caffeine free unless you add espresso". WRONG. Moving on, I made it easier for her by simply ordering a soy chai with a shot of espresso. She, in a snotty tone said, "I thought you didn't want caffeine". Wow. I politely placed my order a second time......a soy chai with a shot of espresso. I got to the window and she exclaimed, " a bigby's best coffee, right?!" What the heck is wrong with this girl? How could she possibly be confused at this point. There were no cars behind me (no other order that she could be confusing mine for). I re-ordered a third time. It took forever to make and I went home to meet with a client (I often work from home) only to discover that my drink was made with regular milk which I am allergic to. Really!? After repeating my order 3 times, it still got messed up? I had no time so I sent my husband back to get the correct drink. He waited in line for 1/2 hour before giving up and wasting money driving to and paying for a replacement drink from a different coffee shop. I went to bigby and called and left messages to speak to a manager and to get the correct drink I paid for starting the very next morning. One person I spoke to said they had just hired 6 new people, he too was new and didn't know what to do but left a message for the manager. I finally gave up. 3 weeks after the fact a guy (still, not a manager) called me and in an irritated and argumentative way explained that because it had been so long (excuse me!?, I only spent the first 2 out of those 3 weeks trying to contact someone about getting a replacement drink) that he couldn't do anything for me. Why did he even bother calling? In a nutshell, biggby- it's not that good, it's overpriced, the staff is rude and it might take you a long time or never to get what...
Read moreThe staff is always pleasant, friendly, and eager to help. If I could like this location based on staff - I would never have a complaint. I love Biggby Coffee and won't go to any other coffee shop, but I don't particularly like Coffee flavor. I'm very specific in the way that I order my au lait, and they rarely ever follow my directions at this location. I even stress the special stuff so they understand it's really important to give me X pumps of whatever flavor. The order taker will repeat what I want, so I have a false sense of security thinking they've "got it." I drive away, take a drink, and it tastes mildly flavored and mostly like coffee. Whoever makes the coffee drinks could care less - or the specifics aren't actually typed onto the slip for them to know. I'm disappointed, as this is the most convenient location for me - but after yet another poorly made au lait in the drive-thru, I'm done. The only way you can get what you actually want is to go in and supervise, taste before you leave and have them fix it. Avoid this location if you're picky. They just can't rise to it. I've had poorly crafted coffee drinks in other locations, but none as reliably bad as this location... and since I've been going there for years... this is NOT specific to the staff that's currently there. It's has always been unpredictable at this location. If you like to follow their recipe, you'll...
Read moreAlmost every time I go there, I'm stuck in the drive thru line for 35-50 minutes. It's a running joke at our job about staying away from this bigby because of how long it takes. It is the ONLY one in the city that takes on average 45 minutes to go through the drive-thru. I ask them why it takes so long and they just say they have a lot of bagels. I'm like ok..... But you're a breakfast/coffee shop..... How many toasters do you have? One? I just thought I'd leave a review because yesterday I heard a lady yell at the cashier about waiting 45 minutes in line and I wanted to tell her it will be like that every time you come here. I only go to this one because it's closest to my house and job. But after waiting AGAIN for almost an hour in line yesterday, I am not going here anymore. Watching car after car after car pull out of line......
