GRC HALAL EATS — Restaurant in Grand Rapids

I got to meet AJ and Jackie with a fantastic experience! On July 4, 2025, I’m working and headed to my next event for the evening. I needed some food, googled shawarma and found GRC Halal! I arrived to see a sign on the door and lights off. As I was looking for another option, AJ comes out and introduces himself and asked how he could help. I told him I was just looking for shawarma for lunch and since they were already closed I’d find something else and they should go enjoy the holiday. He said hold on one minute. AJ and his daughter brought me shawarma, cheese steak, and pastries!!! And WOW! This is AMAZING FOOD! This is the BEST TASTING food I’ve had on the west side of Michigan and clearly made with love!!! It was great to meet AJ and Jackie, such good people! I can’t wait to go back with my wife and enjoy the restaurant.

When I first tried it, it was very tasty and the quantity was very good, and I gave it 5 stars, then I tried it again and everything was different. Unfortunately, they have changed the quality and quantity of several things. The last time I ordered a sandwich, it was apparently smaller than the first time and with a totally different taste. Also, I ordered a chicken pizza before and it had a good amount of topping, but then when I tried their meat pizza recently, it was almost without meat.
