Today me and my boyfriend decided we would have our dinner at Pizza ranch in Grand Rapids Michigan on 28th St. On our way to the restaurant we stopped at the marijuana dispensary and he picked up his Medication. We stepped to the front desk and were greeted by the manager Shanika. He Set his bag that was still sealed on the counter to reach his pocket and get his wallet to pay. Meanwhile, I grabbed the cups and went to the pot machine to get our drinks he turned And started to walk away from the counter and realized that he had left his belongings on the counter. Only A few steps away, he stopped and says I left my stuff on the counter, turned around and asked the woman at the counter. Where did the bag go that he sat there? She said she did not know she didn’t see any bag. With nobody else, customers or employees in the vicinity of the front desk, knowing nobody could’ve grabbed it, but her he insisted that she tell him where his stuff is, and that he was going to call the police if it was Not returned. She was diligent that she had not seen it so he started to call the Kentwood police department. In the Meantime, I thought to go around to the back door where employees go in and out to see if I could find it back there and lo and behold. There was an employee, shoving the bag into the bushes behind the Restaurant. I caught him red-handed. The police came. They did not want to give us our money back. The police advised them that they need to give our money back to us because we had not ate and we were not going to eat at that point at that point. The employees decided to call the general manager on the phone. The general manager asked to speak with the police and Told the police that they wanted a no trespass put on myself and my boyfriend so we would not be allowed in that establishment again And argued to the police that they did not want to give the money back to us !!!!!! we did nothing wrong. We were paying customers their employees stole from us!!!!!!!! They did not have to put a No trespass on us because clearly we will never ever return there!! Several customers approachedu us in disbelief of what they...
Read moreHad dinner there last night (May 31) with my sister. They were busy when we arrived so we found the cleanest dirty table to sit at. I went to ask staff if they could clean off the table and was told to wait a minute. The girl went somewhere in the back and came back with a soapy rag which she handed to me and then walked off. Unmmm....
Ok, benefit of the doubt-maybe she’s new, they’re busy, etc. So I go back and wash my table placing all the dirty items at the end of the table thinking someone will come by and pick them up. An hour later all the dirty dishes are still sitting there despite someone coming to our table twice to deliver pizza and walking past the table several times more.
Finally, I ask to speak with a manager. He apologizes and says he’ll speak to the person. Cool, I guess, so I head back to my table expecting someone to come by at any moment to clear away the dirty items still there from the previous customer. Half hour later the items are still sitting there. The manager did absolutely NOTHING to address the issue or make it right other than offer a lame apology to try and placate me.
As we left I took all the dirty dishes and placed them on their counter and said these are the dishes that have been on my table the entire time I’ve been here that I told you about and spoke to your manager about and it was never cleaned up.
Then she told me the manager I spoke with was actually the OWNER and that he had left for the night. Are you flipping kidding me?! You own this business but do nothing to make your guests feel comfortable? I just wanted a clean freaking table.
This location closed down once before due to poor management and it’s clearly going in the same direction. Besides my dirty table the whole dining area was unsightly. The servers were taking dirty plates and glasses and stacking them on a long table in the middle of the restaurant.
I will never visit this location again especially since I now know the OWNER is ok with this kind of guest service and couldn’t care less about his customers. Get it together,...
Read moreI'm quite disappointed to have to be leaving this 1 star review as I used to really enjoy coming here for my lunch. However I'm quite disappointed with my last 4 experiences here and will no longer be coming here.
I usually show up for the buffet just after 11am. The usual layout for the just opened buffet is usually 6 or so pizzas. Which they tend to make a dessert pizza, 2 cheese pizzas, a cheese pizza with a cut up tomato on top of it, a veggie pizza and if your lucky 1 pepperoni pizza.
Naturally with the above option the pepperoni pizza is gone instantly as the others are favored by very few. So what do they replace the pepperoni that was devoured with? Another dessert pizza matching the untouched one already on the buffet bar. I've sat and waited as long as an hour to see what happens with pizzas that slowly and reluctantly get eaten(cheese, veggie) and sure enough what do they replace it with? Another pizza that Noone wants to eat. Resulting in an hour of watching people walk up to the pizza bar, look at the below par options and go to the salad bar.
Now this leaves me with what can be the only reasonable assumption that can be made. The employees intentionally choose pizza that very very few people want to eat so they can say their pizza bar is full and not have to do their jobs. For a pizza buffet to go an hour without a single pepperoni or even sausage pizza option is just complete Ludacris.
Someone at the management level clearly isn't paying attention. So I will choose one of the dozens of options to eat at within a 5 mile radius of this...
