Sky Zone Grand Rapids — Attraction in Kentwood

I already had a bad experience here for my son’s birthday party and told myself i was never coming here again, 6 months later me and my kids came back when i should’ve stuck to my word. Another horrible experience. They hire these 14 and 15 year olds who have no customer service, rude and bad attitudes. My kids were playing minding their business and this one employee just kept following them telling them they couldn’t do simple things that they were doing, after the 3rd time i asked her what was the problem because there are kids who are playing with no skyzone socks on but you’re following my kids around for no reason. They literally weren’t doing anything wrong. My kids started saying they wanted to leave because the girl kept picking with them and they never wanna leave anywhere so that should prove how annoying the girl was. So i go to the manager and ask for a refund because i paid for 90 minutes and they didn’t get to enjoy the 30 minutes that we were there, literally just feeling attacked the whole time there. The manager Devon Gibson, told me that i cussed at the employee which i never did and was rude towards me like i did something wrong. He first said that he would refund me but i started asking for employees names and corporates number and he got upset and said he wasn’t giving me names or that they didn’t have a corporate “go leave a review” his words so that’s what i’m doing. I’m sure there is a corporate because someone has to be above him. He said he was no longer giving me a refund and i said i wasn’t leaving until i got one because i paid for 90 minutes and my kids didn’t get to enjoy half of that time. He threatened to call the police if i didn’t leave i assume he thought that would make me go away, i told him please do. I waited until the police came and they gave me corporates number and my refund so didn’t so much work out in DEVONS favor. The employees here are rude af, instead of him coming to investigate the situation he just accused me of cussing at his employee which i never did. Everything my kids did this one employee kept attacking them like everything was a violation. I would never go here again we will stick to Rebounderz. I told the manager that we can take our money to Launch he said good luck with that they aren’t a good place and todays there last day they are shutting down for good, what manager even responds like that and why do you even care what does that have to do with you? Pretty sure he was pissed when he called the police and it still worked out in my favor, didn’t want to give me a refund but still ended up having to.. why wouldn’t you when i paid for a time that we didn’t get to enjoy?. I have been using Groupon to get deals at this place. I have to always drive an hour away to get here. To my surprise after going many years since 2018. They refused to allow me to use my Groupon vouchers they was about to expire in a week because I came around 7pm on a Saturday. I was there a few weeks ago on a Saturday and my kids were allowed to play. It’s memorial weekend and the manager that is 21 years old and doesn’t have any kids, did not sympathize with me or offer any other solutions to allow my kids to use the vouchers because in the small print it says that tickets are now offered during glow night. I’m like my kids were here last time for glow night and I was not told they could not play. The manager says that we can only play from 7:30pm till 8pm. My vouchers are for 120min play. I asked what other options do I have because my kids already missed out on playing here a few weeks ago because my daughter lost her glasses. So they called the cops on me because I didn’t want to pay with my vouchers for 30min. I was highly upset because the manager did not care that I traveled a hour away, paid all this gas to get here and my kids where already ready to play. If you are a parent what would you have done in this scenario. I will never support a place that only cares about the rules in the fine print. Most parents are looking for a deal and we see it and get it. I have been doing this for years. Now, after all these years it’s an issue that was not corrected at the beginning. I will never recommend anyone to come here. Their equipment is always broke. Their staff are not attentive towards the kids. My daughter glasses broke twice from coming here because a kid hit my daughter in the face twice with a ball. They have poor cleaning upkeep and lots of trash 🗑 everywhere. Disgustingly filthy!!! While my kids had a great time- It's more than obvious that this facility does not get cleaned on a regular basis and nobody there cares about the customers experience. Upon our arrival we stood in line to the counter only to be redirected to the compters near the entrance to fill out waivers before we could pay. Of the 4 computers, only one was working and the line was incredibly long and chaotic. After much wasted time trying to access a working computer we were able to fill out the waivers on our phones. We then had to wait in line for the counter again. There was no pricing posted anywhere and the staff treated us as though we should know our options. Thankfully I had looked up the pricing online or we would have been grossly overcharged. The floors were sticky and there was spit on the tile floor in near the counter. The bathrooms are worse than any truck stop/rest area I've ever set foot in (pee on the floor, smeared hand prints all over the walls, one of two sinks in working condition covered in black mold, hand dryer didn't work and paper towels were empty and all over the floor). People use the restrooms in the jump socks (no shoes!) and return to the play area . The staff were rude to adults and kids. There was little to no place to sit. The very few tables they had were covered in food and drinks of people out playing or covered in trash. Garbage was overflowing, etc. We topped off our trip by ordering pizza approximately 40 minutes before our jump time ended. We were told it would be ready in 20 minutes. We waited about 30 minutes before checking the status of our order and were told 10-20 more minutes. By the time we actually received our pizza it was a half hour past our jump time ended.
