Hands down the best brunch I have had in a couple years! My wife and I recently moved back to Grand Rapids so we have been trying to visit a new restaurant each week. This week we went to brunch at Lucy’s on a Saturday! The restaurant has a unique vibe. It feels like a small down breakfast join because the staff feels tight knit like a family, but it also feels like a chain breakfast spot because of the sheer size of the restaurant! Not a bad thing at all, just an observation! The place was packed at 11am so we waited a little extra time for our wait staff. To start my wife ordered a mock tail, I ordered coffee, and we tried the deviled eggs. The pickled onions were a great touch, not sure what the ingredients are for the pickling, but they adding a little sweetness to the eggs! For the meal my wife was excited to order the Caprese Omelette. It was super light and airy with amazing flavor. Made you think of summer in every bite! I ordered the Spicy Hash. Wow, it was good! Good amount of spice and great flavor. The pickled onions seemed to give it some sweetness while the potatoes, egg, and chorizo gave it the salty flair! It was a heavy dish and kept me full for several hours! Now let me talk about the biscuits! These things were homemade and absolutely delicious! They were super dense and delightful! Paired with their homemade jelly and a cup of coffee, it was lights out!! Great experience! So great that I cannot wait to go back, maybe, hopefully this weekend! Try it!!

I went to Lucy's for Easter day brunch. I expected a long wait but my friend and I got seated within 10 mins at 11am. I got the Bacon Cinnamon Roll and the Hot Honey Chicken and Waffle with poached eggs. The Bacon Cinnamon Roll was so amazingly good. I enjoyed every single bite of it. The bacon was perfect with a mostly crispy with a little chew to it and great flavor. The roll was perfectly flaky and soft. The sugar glaze was perfectly sweet and thick but still liquid. I loved it. The Hot Honey Chicken with Waffle had a great crispy chicken, great kimchi, good pickles, and the sauce had the right heat level. The waffle was nice. The poached eggs went really well with it. Overall I really like the place. I find myself returning quite often. I tried this dinner recently. It was equally fantastic. I had the tomato bisque, milk braised pork and the brown butter bread pudding. The tomato bisque soup was delicious and a perfect fall weather start to a meal. The milk braised pork was so tender that I didn't need a knife to eat it. The flavors complimented either each other perfectly. The pudding was also another perfectly created dessert. The apple whipped cream and drizzle with that amazing bread pudding made it truly fantastic.

My husband and I met up with our kids late on a Saturday for a meal. The place was packed. Parking was limited and the atmosphere inside was busy and friendly. We ended up getting a table upstairs, which cost a little more but was fine with us to avoid waiting. Our server was wonderful and helpful. The menu had a lot of good offerings and it was hard to decide. I ended up getting avocado toast. I didn't even eat half the order so it was more than a nice portion. The only flaw was that the sour dough bread wasn't toasted, but that wasn't to big of a deal. My husband and one son ordered omelettes which they both said were great. My daughter and son in law also enjoyed their meals. Great portion sizes and everything was yummy. I especially liked the potatoes. Just the right amount of spice. My daughter, son-in-law, and I ordered a mocha coffee. It was very yummy so I included a picture of it. I only wish I'd taken pictures of our food because they were each played nicely. I'd definitely like to go back and try a few other things, and I'd love to try one of their delicious looking pastries as well. Recommended eatery, but put in an online reservation if you can. It helps a lot. 😊

My wife and I have lived in Grand Rapids for about 10 years and we’ve been coming here for breakfast ever since it was called “Little Lucy’s.” We’ve seen several slight rebrands during our time coming here, but the important stuff has always remained the same — the delicious food, the fun and polite staff, and the lively atmosphere. During the early months of the pandemic, we got takeout from Lucy’s at least weekly because we were so worried about losing our favorite spot and we wanted to support in whatever way we could. I will say, this spot isn’t for everyone. Our parents prefer a classic diner style breakfast and this is a little bougie for them. But there are some classic options on the menu, and if you want something a little different than your typical greasy spoon, I’d urge you to try this place. They are vegan and vegetarian friendly with a lot of options for a lot of different dietary restrictions. My personal favorite dish is the Sy’s breakfast pot pie with vegetarian sausage. This spot is a treasure for our Creston neighborhood and in my opinion, it is THE BEST breakfast/brunch in GR.

First I want to start by saying there's no unisex restroom here, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. BUT they EVEN have a sign that says "women on the right because women are always right" which bothers me, it's pretty silly/stupid, it's extremely disclusive and can even be offensive to many many many people. If it weren't for this sign... I would be giving 4 stars. We came in and had waited for a table and got delicious coffee while we waited. We sat and placed our orders and shortly after, the power went out. Now, this isn't a normal thing to have happen so we weren't sure what was going on or what would happen, as many people would feel. Not one worker or server came to our table during this time to tell us any words or reassurance or explanation of how it would affect our meal if so. This would have been courteous and greatly appreciated. There was a slight delay but we did get our food and it was delicious!!! The whole menu has many great options. I would love to give Lucy's another chance but this experience was interestingly less pleasant than how I had expected but not bad!
