In these bleak and uncertain times, this beautiful wedding venue stands to remind us of the illuminating rays of love that still shine brightly today. This past weekend it was truly a sight to behold watching Nate and Riana confess their vows to each other with the wood veneer backdrop overlooking them, appearing as new as it did the year it was installed. The lightning and meticulously placed house plants contributed to both the regal, yet homely atmosphere. The overhead lighting danced across the clown paintings and up the aisle in a spectacularly ethereal way.
After the ceremony, the newly minted couple were seated at the head booth. Befit for a king with itâs luxurious and plump vinyl padding, the plumpness of the cushions could only be rivaled by what came next, the namesake burger entrĂ©e.
âTable 4â the metallic speaker squawked as it dismissed another table to the buffet line. From combos to platters, every guest in attendance had not only their dietary needs met, but their whimsical fantasies. âLove Will Keep Us Togetherâ by Captain and Tennille played as the couple cut the cake, which was literally as easy as opening a sliding cooler door to pull out pre-cut, pre-plated decadent delights. And who could forget the hilarious best man speech! He even fit in a last minute joke about the groom forgetting his attire. Luckily the host sold the exact shirts and hats donned by the wedding party.
I would absolutely recommend that you share the greatest day of your life with all of your loved ones at this venue. Iâve never seen two people so happy as the couple when I heard the priest say, âI now pronounce you, Mr. and...
Read moreI've been going to Mr. Burger now and then since 2013. I've been to the various locations in the GR area. I'll give the positive things first and then the 1 negative:
The very good things are:
They make fries on order so they are ALWAYS so hot, always. The girls working the drive thru are SO nice (On a side note, no matter where I go or in which state I go, girls usually make better employees and I love dealing with them, so nice, smiling etc). Here at Mr. Burger, they even put ketchup in 2 little cups for me so I don't have to tear open those annoying little ketchup packs and then squirt the ketchup onto a few napkins. Best of all, I can get all kinds of pies through the drive--thru window. They even heat up my apple pie for me.
The 1 negative thing is, it doesn't matter which location I go to or what time I go there, my meat patty has NEVER been hot. Not even ONCE in these 7 years. But I just tell myself that the hot fries and apple pie make up for it. And I do like the taste of the burger, and anyway ANY PLACE is better than that garbage called McDonald's (how do they even stay in business?) which tasted better to me in the 80s when they used styrofoam to house...
Read moreGreat burgers and okay otherwise food on the cheaper end. The dining area is cozy and the staff are friendly! They have a drive-thru, too.
Mr Burger: Probably their crowning achievement! The burger was juicy and of great quality (compared to the rest on the menu). For the price, it is probably the best bang for your buck quality-wise. Still, it was a bit smaller than I was expecting for 1/3 lb burger.
Double Meat with Cheese Deluxe: I enjoyed this one the most. Not much different than the Mr. Burger, but the added toppings made it better.
Tenderloin: Good! Had a mitten shape to it on a standard hamburger bun with toppings. It was moist and flavorful for the price!
Chili Dog: Average. $3, I'll still take it.
Fish Dinner: Served hot, but not very exciting. Deep fried outside was crispy but the texture was bland. The fish inside was decent, though.
Potatoes and Beef Gravy: Ok. You could tell it was potatoes on the cheap side and the gravy was a little over done. What you'd expect from a cafeteria.
Fries: Average. About what you'd expect from cheaper family...
