This a smaller, more crowded subway. The location is sandwiched between various other businesses inside the plaza. Not a brightly lit establishment. No drive-through.
We waited in line for our order to be taken by the surly, apathetic teen girls working behind the counter. The wraps I initially wanted were out, as was my backup bread choice available. Our third bread choice was the last two on hand. A sandwich shop with no bread and no wraps?! The disgusted tone and eye rolling of the employee d8d not go unnoticed. The orders were made amongst what must have been employee on employee turmoil. Neither individual spoke to one another, the first employee that took the order disappeared, leaving the second to rearrange the toppings done incompletely. The employee was asked repeatedly to speak up, as we could not hear what was being asked from behind the sneeze guard.
While waiting, this is when we noticed what we had stepped into; absolute filth. The entire store is disgusting. At first glance, the low, dingy lighting hides it. While waiting for sandwiches to toast, we noticed inches of pile-up dust and cobwebs, smears, and stains on both sides of the glass that had been there for quite some time. Food splatters, every table was covered. Crumbs as well. Piles of filth at the drink fountain with a sticker on the tea dispenser reading "out of order." The check-out counter, where nothing is eaten or prepared, had mountains of crumbs and crud everywhere. As we left, I noticed that the hanging signs designating where to order and where to pay had years of filth piling on them.

Read moreIf you are an older person or any person and are having issues with the Subway app and goto this store with questions, just prepare yourself to be insulted and have your intelligence degraded and be accused of trying to get free food by yelling from management as your standing there with 3 other customers and your phone in your hand with the app open listening to management, as your standing there trying not to lose your cool? Then this is the Subway for you. I myself just left with no resolution and spent my money someplace else for supper. By the reviews I've read for this Subway I'm glad I'm not the only one complaining. Management needs to be fired. Especially the one dark skinned guy with the ear ring in his right ear and claims he remembers everyone. He is just straight up disrespectful and rude. I will not spend my money at this Subway as long as he is working there.
Update In the last few months that I posted this I have spent around $500 between the Subway on Monroe and on Fuller and have not had a single issue. The Subway on Leonard St has 💯 lost...
Read moreSubway is one of those places that you expect a certain level of “just okay”. This is, by far, the worst subway I’ve been to. I’ve given them the benefit of the doubt and tried going a few times, each time worse than before.
Example: I was in a hurry, because I was late for a meeting, so I ordered on the app for myself and my kids. The app makes it fool proof, listing everything out. When I grabbed the order, I looked inside and explained that the cookies and drinks were missing (I ordered 2 “meal of the days”). In the end, he only ended up giving me one cup instead of 2 and I had my kids share it (bc I couldn’t be bothered, since I was late). Then, I got to my meeting and started mixing up my protein bowl … only to find that they hadn’t put in any of the meat. So I just had soggy vegetables and sauce, in a bowl, for $11.
This is only one shining example of the few times I’ve tried to give them my business. It would be slightly more excusable if it was a warm and friendly location,...
