Shame on them. They added there own tip I had 3 whiskey and cokes and 2 two hearted that was 4 a PC and whiskey was 3.50 a PC. Then they took away the last two hearted because supposedly I couldn't drink any longer. And the Caucasian lady said she would refund me my money checked my card and they did not refund me it and I was in the negatives. How was everything 30+ woke up with another transaction the next day in the negatives. SMH called in and they said i had to have a receipt but I have records of the transaction on my card and you guys should have a copy as one goes to the customer and the other to the bartender. When I called the lady was super surprised I was aware of the situation and was upset I didn't tip. But yet u put me in the negative which effect my card. Mad Love for this place! It's a quaint family owned staple of the West Side of Grand Rapids. Has been around for as long as I can remember, and I grew up a few blocks away from it.. Drinks typical bar drinks, reasonable prices. Pool table in the back, club keno..of course, fair amount of TV's to view. Decent amount of parking on the side if the building as well as non- metered street parking also available. This tiny bar does not have any food available other than popcorn on occasion. What it does have are cheap drinks, hit or miss service, and a ridiculously friendly clientele. One of the most relaxed dive bars, with music that plays slightly too loud. 3/5 mainly because there wasn't a single thing to complain about, but nothing that made it exceptional. Oh and those who play pool here are rather good beating me by a single shot. Will come again if river city saloon...
