My new hubby and I went to have a meal and sat down and young server kept telling me some one will be with us We waitted as the resturant fillef and 7 times we we told that All the others got service and finally the server that has beem there for yts and was the server when the coffee cup broke started to take our order When we asked if we could substitute she said she couldnt I mentioned we did before she said they don't anymore Then a new person I never saw before got involved and the server offer to let the new one to take our order and refused and the long time server became rude. We waitted 40 mins and now with a full restaurant and being first in I was embarrassed by the staff. My new husband seeing how rude suggest we leave. If you leave this place empty, it's your own fault. I ordered the Ribeye 🥩 Steak well done, and I got the most delicious Beef Fiesta Soup included. Then came my salad. The Blue cheese tasted blah like an inexpensive bottled dressing. The Steak came out properly cooked with choice of potato 🥔 and vegetable 🥕. For an 8 Ounce steak, I had about the size of an old silver dollar left over in fat and gristle. I will probably try their Sirloin next time! Just when you think you're done, you're offered dessert! I chose the chocolate pudding. It tasted like a commercially prepared 🍮 pudding but the whipped cream on top made the day. The service is on it at Sammy's. My wife said her 🦃 Turkey and gravy sandwich with mashed potatoes came out cold. She just ate it because she hates microwaved food. She tried the Apple 🥧 pie for Dessert, with some success. Just left Sammy's... Working on the road in different cities I try to stay away from the chains and give local places a chance. But in doing so I rely heavily on the reviews I read here. And when it comes to this place I am really glad I did. It's a small diner type atmosphere... Very clean.. I ordered the country breakfast combo.. And since it was late in the evening my server wanted to check and make sure the gravy was up to their standard before she would recommend it... I thought this was great customer service.. Most would just serve it and hope you don't complain... It was up to standard and very good... Everything was cooked perfectly and pretty quickly considering there were several other customers here before me.. My server was very pleasant and friendly... Helpful and willing to explain or recommend anything... I was very very satisfied with my dinning experience here and would come back or recommend it to anyone that enjoys a friendly atmosphere and home style cooking......
