Great Wall — Restaurant in Granite City

(Well where do I began) Me & My mom stopped in this place a few weeks ago because we wanted chinese,& Upon entering, the guy at front desk didn't greet us,had an attitude,& were extremely rude....I ordered two buffet dinners for dine in,& Upon seeing that they sold crab legs, I'd asked how much,yet before I could even ask what I were about to continue asking,he rudely cut me off, & said "You have to pay,& you didn't order that" So I were like ok....So upon getting food from buffet, everything seemed very old & dry ....We picked a seat in area, & sat down to eat uncomfortablely, while staff were just standing around watching,yet never asking if we needed anything.... So same guy began sweeping floor up front while we were eating our food,& then another sat & began watching as if there were a problem....After plates starting piling, there were a lady who finally came over,but didn't greet us at all,as same as other...She took tons of plates back into kitchen area,silently,while being slightly rude....They acted as if they didn't like anyone even though it were our first time there...Upon eating, after we were done, the same rude guy now began mopping as we were about to leave,basically without ever giving warning,nor barely any signs stating that floor were wet.....So We left,yet no one ever said thank you at all,nor were there any type of interaction but attitude,which left both me & my mom wondering,and questioning why? I wouldn't recommend a dog to visit this place & poop on floor,non the less any nor anyone ....Horrible service.... I'd rather pay a kid to cook a meal on a little play wok,& eat plastic food if starving, than return to this awful place.....If i could give a half of star,or either none,than I would .....Also,the parking lot were extremely filthy,& dirty..... Highly...

Always a chill atmosphere, quiet and cozy with many places to sit. Everything is kept up but keep in mind not much is replaced so they "make do" in their own ways but its very homey environment. The food is constantly replaced and theres a salad bar. You can get a weighed to go for whatever price per pound. They have items that are posted at the front you can buy and theres never any drama there. You like quarters and gambling? XD they have 2 of those machines. There used to be an icecream machine but around the covid pandemic it dissapeared and now theres just tubs .... sad about that and now dont get icecream. They are friendly especially the lady who grabs your plate 🍽 she is so nice ~☆ ive been going since i was a lil kid and im 20 now. Never once had a single problem there, the aura of the place just...

Pre plague this place was the best. The food was quality for a buffet, the service was excellent with helpful staff and quick replacement of empty food trays. The atmosphere was bright and well themed for Chinese buffet. Currently, the food quality has gone so far down hill we threw away more than we ate. I love food so this was very difficult. The service was decent. A nice lady took the plates as we put them at the end of the table. The other staff member spent the entire time on the telephone having a heated conversation at the front counter. I couldn't understand it, but it was clear something went wrong. The atmosphere changed too. Much dimmer and more drab now. We really miss the way it used to be. As it is now we won't...
