This is my favorite cafe in the world. The family that owns it is of the highest caliber. The wide variety of options on the menu are all prepared excellently! If you need to be waited upon by someone with American English, they usually have one of those around. If you wanted, instead, to meet your ancestors in different skin, expand your cultural horizons (without eating anything strange) and, you don't mind your English with an Eastern Mediterranean accent from some of the kindest most lovely folks ever; I suggest speaking, not too fast and, with a smile; then sit back and wait for the plates and cups of love to rain down on you from their kitchen and staff ... They have incredible prices. $4.99 for 2 eggs, 2 bacon or sausages, hash browns or home fries (I recommend them) and 2 pancakes. I went on weekend n they gave us 3 eggs n 2 pieces if meat. I asked about it n the waitress said, oh we often do that on the weekend. OMGosh it was fantastic. Had enough for 2 breakfast n only $4.99. Also coffee is perfect and only $1.59 where all restaurants are charging basically $3 for a cup. I also love liver n onions. I got liver n onions, mashed potatoes, a veggie and a roll, $6.99. I live in Missouri n drive over every chance I get now and I don't like eating out, except HERE! If you don't go and visit you're really missing out! Oh n the pie is beyond wonderful!!! Chain or franchised eateries take your money after sales tax and send it to the owners who live out of state and don’t have ties to the community.
