We are locals and have been wanting to try this new restaurant since it switched ownership and has a new menu. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted by the owner with a warm welcome and thanked for coming in. It was a beautiful warm evening and we were seated outside on the back deck, great atmosphere outside and inside! Our waiter came immediately with water for the table and left a carafe of water. He was super friendly and fun from the start. We came with 2 other couples and we ordered 3 appetizers to share. The Charcuterie board, the Italian deep fried rice balls (can’t remember what the name of these were) and the crab dip. Apps were all delicious and nice portions. The crab dip had a great taste/flavor but the consensus at the table was that it could have had more crab in it. The Charcuterie was loaded with all good stuff and we enjoyed trying everything on it. The Italian deep fried rice balls were really, really good! For dinner we all shared and they split everything for us before it came to the table. My husband and I had the Chicken Milanese & creamy gnocchi. It was really good! The 2 other couples both shared a burger with fries and they said the burger was really good too! We all said we can’t wait to go back to try the rest of the menu. The owner, Paul came out to check on us several times and our waiter was very attentive and checking on us the whole time. We had the most enjoyable dinner and if they keep up the great service and great quality of food this will be one of the new local favorites!

We were seated. 20 minutes go by.. no one approaches. Finally, a waiter stops and says that he or someone will be right. With us. Another 8 minutes go by…. A table of 8 is seated near us. A waiter returns promptly with drinks for them. Another table gets served that’s seated after us. We get up and walk out. A waiter apologizes and promises to get our order in right away. We haven’t even been asked what we would like to drink????? I was so excited to try this place! I had stopped just before they opened and spoke to the owner. Such a shame that they do not have good service. The menu looked amazing but I couldn’t tell you? They weren’t very busy. We were simply overlooked , over and over, as the wait staff passed our table numerous times. So sad. I would like to go back, but unfortunately, they would have to pick up the tab to persuade me in!

Came here for the quality local draft beers and food menu. Pleasantly surprised by the homemade limocello and fruit cellos crafted into excellent cocktails. I had the grapefruit cello with an addition of processo that they have on draft. Wonderful, tasty and refreshing. I didn't try their limocello which most of the clients buy but maybe next time when I come back. Their charcuterie board was creative and delicious. Homemade pickled vegetables were an unexpected bonus addition to fine board of cheeses and meats and a warm dipping spread. On top of all the wonderful drinks and food the staff were outstanding. Martin the bartender was a highlight of the evening but every staff member made you feel like you were a honored guest.

My wife and I recently went on a dinner date to the Mountain Grape Tavern. I only give reviews of restaurants that I am very impressed with and would recommend for others to enjoy. Mountain Grape Tavern certainly falls into this category. Located in Grantsville, Maryland which is less than 30 minutes from Cumberland and 15 minutes from Frostburg; it is definitely worth the short drive. As soon as, we walked inside we felt welcomed. We were greeted kindly by the owners and staff. This is a family run business and it is evident they care about providing a great experience for the customers. The food was excellent and prepared perfectly by the Chef. The menu has something for everyone and includes items that you won’t find at other local restaurants. We can’t wait to go back to try more of the delicious food that the Mountain Grape Tavern...
