I do Uber Eats often around this area. I’ve seen, eaten, and visited my share of Jack in the box at all hours of the night. This location stood out to me because the evening/overnight team is really great. The lady in charge and the two dudes in the kitchen seem to work really well and pump out great food and service. Once I watched the lady repackage an order few times just so that it looks and sits right in the bag. I think we’ve all had an experience or two when you look to get your food out of the bag and it looks like it was just all thrown in. Not here. Pretty cool. This location seems to care a lot. A lot more than other locations or other competitive restaurants. You don’t see that too often Especially these days. Especially during a graveyard shift. Having picked up few Uber Eats orders from here and the positive interaction with the staff made me want to eat here, so today I came in to take my break. Same crew was working. The dining room was very clean as usual. The lady is chill, working hard with a great smile as always and her team alike. When I first entered , i was acknowledged right away by one of the cooks who came up and greeted me with a smile and told me to please wait and I will be assisted soon. He came up to help the lady cuz she was in the corner with a drive thru customer. Teamwork! Awesome! I’m used to being ignored or get that attitude of being annoyed that someone came into their restaurant and now they have to work. Haha. Food was delicious. One of the best jacking the box experience fo sho. During a graveyard shift?! That’s crazy. Crazy cool. I’ll be back and probably make this location my late night break time spot at least once or twice a week. Very chill and welcoming vibe here. Thank you for an...
Read moreUpdate 7/31/23: Back to JIB to give them another chance. Ordered 2 tacos and 3pc cheddar poppers with a tea. As soon as I pull up to the window she hands me a bag with it looks like someone's name on it. I opened it, confirmed its not mine and gave it back. The manager walks up and says that order was through the app and has been paid for and why it had someone's name on it. Oh boy.....the cashier then gets upset with me. If looks could kill. She acted like the whole thing was my fault. I asked for taco sauce and her response is "its in there." 1 packet for 2 tacos. So I asked for another packet and some ranch. I thought she might throw them at me. The whole thing was just uncomfortable and that girl was completely rude and out of hand. On my last review JIB reached out and asked me to contact them and basically took a survey. No one actually reached out regarding the issue.
This is only a review of the Jack in the Box for Grapevine. Not sure what's going on lately but they no longer have the bacon, cheddar potato wedges on the menu so I ordered something comparable. Its supposed to be the curly fries with bacon and cheddar. OMG! I was totally disgusted. I don't know if the cheese was bad or the bacon.....bacon looked a little green. I almost puked. I ordered the two tacos and usually they are really good but that day I don't know what was going on there. The meat didn't taste the same as it usually does either. I will say that if I eat JIB its usually in Bedford but I noticed even the one in Bedford the food wasn't up to par last time either. My last trip cured me of eating at the one in Grapevine off William D...
Read moreAs far as this Grapevine location, I think it's fine. I've been here many times and the service has been good to great so often that I can't even remember a bad time that I've had here.
I will say that in the last year or so the service has gotten a little better than good. And I've never walked in this location and found the lobby a mess. In fact, I'm sitting in the dining room right now writing this review and observing a staff member detailing everything at the moment.
If I have any complaints, it would be the perpetually slippy floors in the dining area. There have been times that I feel like I could skate to my table, so walk carefully here. * Update - I think they've solved this problem. It's been a while since I've had to shuffle my way across the dining room. *
Oh, and I've never had a problem with their food here. It's been consistent for me, but I should warn you that they'll likely ask you to move forward in the drive thru depending on your order (I usually get this when I order the Teriyaki bowl).
For me, Jack in the Box just isn't the first place I think of when I want to grab a quick bite to eat. It's not their fault more than it's just the changes in the market today. I applaud they're innovation in fast food (like the butter burgers, using a different type of bun, offering rice bowls/pita options), but their food is mostly ok in the end for me.
And I can see the uphill battle this Jack in the Box location is facing nearby (Chick-fil-A, In-and-Out, Taco Bell, Jason's Deli, Bottlecap Alley, and Eatzi's very close by), so it's a testament to the resilience of this location to compete with these more...
