The Google description identifies this restaurant as Tex-Mex but I really feel it was more Mex than Tex. Had a little bit more of an authentic feel for the meals. The chips were thick and different than your chain restaurants Salsas had some kick but not too much . The salsa verde definitely had a strong jalapeno hint but was great. Queso also had a good flavor. I had the Mad Mex, which was the brisket flavored combo, and it did not disappoint. I actually enjoyed the rice, fluffy and nice flavor. My wife had the Chorizo Breakfast tacos and enjoyed them. Piggly sized nachos were more than enough to feed two teenage girls. Overall, staff was very friendly, and the restaurant was clean. Our server kept up with beverages and chips.wpild definitely come back again next time I'm back here.

We went here April 2025 to satisfy a fish taco craving, and we were not impressed. The order was to go, and for one of the orders, we requested no tortillas.Strange, yes, but that's what we needed for this person. This seemed very confusing for the person taking the order. When we got home, the beans and rice were OK, there was decent slaw and avocado included. But the fish was... scant, like they took normal tilapia filets and split them into 3 thin slices. What was supposed to be 2 fish tacos was more like slaw with an insinuation of fried fish. The atmosphere bordered on dive bar, but we were not dining in so that was based on a brief stay in the bar area waiting for the orders.

From the outside this looks like a tiny hole in the wall Mexican restaurant, but the inside is actually pretty spacey and has a large bar. Cute decor. Several TVs with different sports on to watch. Chips and salsa were good. I ordered taco meat nachos, and my boyfriend got the chili relleno. Both portions were HUGE. Margarita was good. Apparently there’s a two drink limit, because they’re pretty boozy. Everything was really great except our server, I think his name was Patricio, seemed like he really did not want to be there at all. Not super friendly and would drive by ask how we’re doing. It was very odd. Otherwise, dope Mexican place I’d recommend if you’re in the area.

Thirteen members of our motorcycle group went here tonight and we will not be going back!

The evening started just fine when we got there and our table was set up and waiting for us, but that's when things started going downhill. Our server took our drink orders, brought the drinks out, and then disappeared for a while. After about thirty minutes the manager and another guy were busing the tables next to us and we told him we would like to order our food. He told us to hang on a minute and he would get our server. He continued to bus the tables, and then eventually left to find our server.

Our server returned and took our orders, and things were still going okay... until the food came out. The food didn't all come out at once, a few plates came out, then about 5 - 10 minutes later some more came out, and then eventually all of the rest of them but one came out. One of our friends plate didn't come out, and we finally got our server's attention to let him know, and then went off to the kitchen to get the final plate.

That wasn't the biggest problem. Out of thirteen orders, nine of them were either lukewarm or outright cold. My wife told our server her's was cold and he took the plate back to the kitchen. She had chicken enchiladas with rice and beans. A few minutes later he brought her back the same plate of food, with the fork in the exact position it was when he took it. The plate was slightly warmer, but the food was still cold. She got his attention again, and again he took the plate back to the kitchen. This time he returned with a fresh plate, and while the enchiladas were warm, the rice and beans were still cold. One of our friends tried sending her plate back, but also got it back with the plate slightly warmer, but the food was still cold.

The manager knew about the problems, but never came to talk to us, and the server never offered any apologies or offered to make it right. One of our group had been a regular at the restaurant for a number of years, so he went and asked the manger to go outside so he could talk to him. He chewed the manager out and told him about the problems, that he was a regular, and that he would never be coming back. The manager told him that he didn't know what the problem was because the food was hot when it left the kitchen. He told our friend that he would give us a discount, but it never showed up on any of our tickets, so we paid full price for bad service and worse food.

I would not recommend this restaurant if you want good food or good service, go next door to Taco Bell, you'll probably get better food and service for a...

used to be better.

let me start off that i used to work here in 2016, as have my brothers before. we used to love coming to this place. i ended up leaving for unrelated reasons but one thing i remembered was that the food never let me down. fast forward 8 years later and the restaurant has expanded, staff has changed, menus been updated, and maybe have the recipes. We got the brisket tacos, steak tacos al carbon, issas queso (which is now a crazy queso? weird), the new roasted corn, and the top shelf skinny. A margarita so good, I use the recipe I learned to this day. Ask me even a couple years ago and i would have said none of these items would let you down… but as of today, i would no longer recommend the food nor the drinks.

In their attempt to keep up with the times, baja has unfortunately lost their character, their charm, what made it baja. Everything’s changed and i truly wish i could say it was for the better. What made it worse was the server taking away a margarita glass that was clearly not empty. It was a 20 til close but it felt like they were trying to kick us out.

Total for dinner was around 115 before gratuity. I give it two stars, one for the queso and the other for the...

Came here for lunch. I was told they took down their H taco part a while ago. It was ok Mex food. I had a taco salad. This was pretty small comparative to other Taco salads you get a other Mexican restaurants. I would probably not go for this again, unless you were looking for a really small salad. I also had two of their H tacos (brisket). The Brisket was really watery. Not juicy, watery... Wife also had two brisket soft tacos and the brisket was so watery that the soft taco shells were really soggy. Service was great. Also seemed to get the food pretty fast, so this is a good spot for those on a lunch break. With Esparzas right down the road and other Mex options, this place seems to rely more on their bar and late night crowd for bites to eat. Bathrooms on the left hand side of the restaurant or right out in the open. ...
