My gosh, the best best BEST food in Green Bay hands down! I'm telling you, everything is SO GOOD. The pulled pork was nice and moist between perfectly toasted Texas toast. The homemade onion tanglers were to die for! Worth buying on their own for sure. Our kids even ate their whole meal and Cryss gave them such cute little duckies afterward. The homemade grasshopper ice cream was sooooo delicious and thick. All we kept saying AND hearing from other customers around us was how great the food tasted. The decor on the walls shows just how much they appreciate their customers and love getting to know their supporters, which honestly just feels so rewarding. They had AMAZIIING service. Cryss recommended everything and was such a pleasure to have as a server. She was so nice to us and our rambunctious boys. Oh, I must say that girl can whip up some of the best homemade lemonade. Pat on the back for her. The cook was working FAST today, had meals coming out faster than Cryss could bring them out! Gosh, I must say the entire experience will have us coming back again and again. ❤️
Oh and the price...
Read moreThe Booyah Shed is a small, countryside eatery in Green Bay, WI. Its bright colored walls house a small eating area and a friendly service/kitchen crew.
The standout was their homemade cherry pie. The crust was flaky and the filling was full of deep, rich cherry flavors.
The bowl of Booyah ($5.75) was heartwarming, filling, and a great value. The stew/soup was mildly seasoned with chicken, large chunks of potatoes, carrots, beans, and other vegetables. I found it needed more seasoning/pepper to elevate the flavor, but it was still satisfying.
The blackened shrimp tacos were covered with a bright and acidic mango, strawberry, and jalapeño salsa. While the salsa was good, it unfortunately overwhelmed the shrimp's flavor. The flour tortilla was also slightly gummy.
Note for first-time eaters: Ask the front window for the free gift - prepare to be entertained!
Special thanks to Katrina for the great recommendations and the entertaining time when dolling out our first-time...
Read moreI tried The Booyah Shed for the first time yesterday. We originally went there to get Booyah because I wasn't feeling well. While waiting, we ordered three jerk chicken tacos for $10, and they were phenomenal! They could have used a slightly better chicken-to-slaw ratio, but I would definitely eat them again.
Unfortunately, the Booyah was a disappointment. I rarely eat Booyah, but I was hoping for some comforting "feel-good food." I ordered two pints to go, and, unfortunately, the Booyah was mostly liquid with a little meat, and the veggies were so mushy that they all settled at the bottom of the pint. You could hardly distinguish them as vegetables. I'm not sure if I got the bottom or top of the barrel, but I won't be returning for the Booyah. However, I will definitely be back for those jerk chicken tacos and to try other items on the menu!
The gentlemen working at the window were very courteous and friendly, which explains why customers keep coming...
