This experience took the cake! I was in line with an order of 3 sandwiches and telling what items I wanted on each. A cashier came up after the two employees working the line for myself, another couple, and two more parties were in line to order and/or having their orders worked on. The cashier starts talking about my order to check me out. With partial hearing loss, I could not even hear her from where I was standing in line and telling the worker what I wanted on the sandwiches. After I had to leave the line and try to continue to tell what I wanted on my sandwich that was being fixed to go to the cashier a second time--one of my sandwiches was wrapped and I DID NOT get to add all I wanted on it which was wrapped and bagged before I even got back to the line to finish telling what I wanted on it. I expressed to the cashier that I was doing my sandwiches, a clear indication that they needed to wait for me to get there. They ignored it and blurted out my total! I WAS NOT EVEN FINISHED ORDERING! I ordered one of the additional items I wanted and again--Total blurted out...no Will there be anything else? And you guessed it! At that point I was DONE! I refused to attempt to get anything else--If they are in such a hurry to check me out and get me out the door that they are NOT concerned with actually selling me items from their menu, I will purchase from someone who wants to sell items, NOT attempt to cash me out because the line has grown. My order, my sandwiches, my additional purchases ARE PRIORITY, NOT getting me cashed out so that the cashier can continue to just stand there as they wait for more sandwiches to come down the line. This was also not an isolated event. The couple behind me was treated the same by the cashier. They told the cashier they were still waiting on sandwiches. The cashier just told them point blank--YOU CAN PAY NOW ANYWAY, and you guessed it--it caused confusion with them being able to tell them what to put on their sandwiches, it also caused the line to get out of order and confused the workers on who had what sandwich and which order they were in. With years of customer service experience--the cashier should have gone to the start of the line to begin the next sandwiches for the next customer in line as THAT was what needed ATTENTION, NOT calling customers away, stalling the line out, and causing confusion for everyone and wasting time at the register constantly interrupting the customers attempting to hurry the cashier station to the point of...
Read moreHad a horrible experience today (June 7th 2020) around noon. I was unable to place a phone order for myself and my boss (I work with animals I was kind of too dirty to feel comfortable walking inside, and since I couldn’t get through on the phone, I pulled up to the window, plus I felt like since the pandemic this was normal to go through the drive-through) The employee at the window (male, late teens to early 20s, very average) asked if I had placed a phone order, and I said, “no, I wasn’t able to get through.” And I could LITERALLY see the phone was off the hook so that he/the other employees wouldn’t have to take orders. He seemed very annoyed and we had just started speaking. He took the order for me, and my boss’ order, but then became increasingly annoyed at me when I asked to pay for the sandwich and the salad separately. He then told me to “pull around the building” and when he brought out the sandwich and salad, he was sure to tell me I had parked in the wrong place, although there were no specific directions given. After giving me the food I had tipped him a bill and he rolled his eyes at me, took the bill and walked away. Upon inspection of the food, there was almost no meat on the sandwich and the tuna salad, my boss paid extra for “extra tuna” but there was LITERALLY almost no tuna in the salad. That employee was really rude, and the food was bad, I probably won’t be going back to Greenbrier Subway. I hope you investigate the ignoring of the phone orders at least. Read moreVery rude. I had never been here and was in a hurry to pick up lunch for my daughter and went to the drive through, which has no awning, and it was raining. Told the girl I had never been here before, and pointed out that there was no menu at the drive up window. She continued to act like I was bothering her because I didn’t know what my options were on drinks and chips. I knew what sandwiches I was getting so it wasn’t like I asked her to read me the menu. I asked what my options on chips were, she said “a lot”. I asked about drinks, she looked to the machine, clearly annoyed, and read the labels aloud, impatiently. This whole time I’m the one getting rained on! The thing is, I work in food service. I would never treat a guest like this. Probably not the end of the world, but I won’t spend my...
