I made a purchase of a ham/turkey sub and the Reuben meal. When I got home I discovered that they gave me the Reuben sandwich and not the meal which added fries. I placed a call to them and they told me to either come that day or the next to get the Reuben Meal that I paid for. I told them I would return the next day to take care of it. The very next day I called and told them that I'm on my way to pick up the Reuben Meal I was promised and was told to come and get it. I don't know what the problem was between the time of my call and me getting to the store but all of a sudden, I was told that they would give me the fries but that's it. As if it was my fault that they screwed my order, that's the way they started to treat me. I told the guy to get a look at the 6 figure automobile that I just pulled up in and that I'm not interested in trying to steal from anyone and don't have to do that. We went back and forth for a bit until I got a little hot and started to use some choice words having been brought out to get the meal I was promised in the rain to be told once I got there that they will only give me the fries! I said all that to give you a peak at what you could possibly look forward to as far as their customer service. BEWARE! The little guy I dealt with talked like he was a manager so I left my name and number to be given to the owners (I think I know them personally) so they can call me asap! Owners if you read this about your establishment, please retrieve my number and use it. Would like to discuss the attitude of your manager and tell you why I'll never return but how you may be able to save your business with one little adjustment! Use the number...
Read moreI was pleasantly surprised as this was my first time at this American Deli location and my experiences at other locations in town left much to be desired.
The meal prices in store are about 23% lower than online Grubhub, Ubereats and DoorDash prices. For this reason, I went to the store and placed my order at the store.
The cashier was courteous and patient with me even though I could tell they were busy.
We ordered three of the Philly Sub & Wings meal. It comes with an 8” sub, about 5 wings (we got the sweet chili sauce), fries and a drink. The quantity and quality of the food was worth the $12.99 price. The ate all of their food with no complaints. Always a good sign.
I also got a Reuben sandwich meal same as the other. The price (which I don’t remember) was slightly less for it though - I guess because the sandwich is much smaller. It was really good. The perfect combination of sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and Thousand Island dressing. The corned beef was also good and was not stringy.
I also got an order of their butterflied fried shrimp that came with cocktail sauce. These were crispy on the outside and perfect inside. The cocktail sauce was really tart - still on the fence about that.
The wait for this large order was only about 15 minutes. Exceptional!
Overall, a great experience. I’m willing to make the 6.5 mile drive again to sample other items on the menu. Keep up...
Read moreThe food wasn’t bad. But the directions weren’t followed either for my order. But my main complaint is the fact they let you call in orders, but do not make them until you arrive. Which wouldn’t be an issue if it was something they let you know over the phone at the time the order is placed. It’s extremely inconsiderate to the customer to have to wait for an order they called in. That’s the purpose of calling in, not too wait at the time of arrival. They claim it’s because customers have called in, in the past and have not came, or came hours later and complained about the food being cold and soggy. Well, frankly that’s not my problem. They need to let customers know they will have to wait upon arrival when placing a call in order, or give customer the option to pay over the phone prior to arrival to ensure the food is ready upon arrival. Time is money, and I waited 20 minutes for an order that took me 10 minutes to get too. This is unacceptable. I will not be returning for...
