Palermo Pizza — Restaurant in Greensboro

I'm going to give my honest opinion about this place. Upon entering I was hit with one of the most unusual scents I have ever smelled in my entire life, the type of scent that catches you mid-stride. It was neither pleasant nor disgusting, just a scent that is very, counter-productive for creating return customers. You would expect a small restaurant like Palermo Pizza to smell like food, but no, this unfamiliar scent sticks with you before you even open the door.

I sat and waited for my food to be made, which took about an hour. I ordered nothing remotely time consuming or complicated, any other pizzeria could have had it done in 20 or less, but this place was closer to my home. I was seriously considering walking down to City Dragon a few doors over. There were a handful of guys in the back, doing nothing but having a conversation in Arabic, I assume that is why my food took so long. Even though the man (who I assume is the owner) that took my order was very friendly, this service was slow and painful.

Now as for the food, it was pretty good! If you can overcome the smell and the long wait time of actually being in the restaurant, you will actually like it. Not sure how delivery is, but based on the other reviews, it might be just as painful as psychically being there.

I have never had a bad experience with delivery to a hotel until now. I placed an order over the phone and was advised of the price up front which was $4 more than what the special was. The person on the phone who spoke broken English said it would be 40 minutes for delivery. After an hour of waiting I called back twice before someone answered. He said delivery would be in five to three minutes. When the delivery lady showed up ten minutes later, she short changed me. I asked her as she walked off is that the way it is for getting a tip? I was actually going to give her the full amount of change until she just walked off. She turned around and began cursing me in the hallway of the hotel. I will NEVER order from this place again! The best way to get back for lousy service is to never go back!!! I can't even get them to answer the telephone so I can make a formal complaint. So public...

This was the worst food service ive ever experienced.I called and placed an order and 3:34 PM have it set up for delivery the person I spoke to told me how much my food was going to be and I said OK.at 4:31 i called wondering where was my order because i only have a hour lunch and literally just used it for food i never got. Called and they said they were on the way.
