Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Greensboro

UPDATE: I'm happy to say that on my most recent visit in 2/2022, everything was superb. The Veggie Lover's Pan pizza that might just be my favorite food, period, never mind my favorite kind of pizza, was perfectly done. The wings and the other pizza in our order were also excellent. It seems like some improvements really have been made. I hope they stick!

ORIGINAL REVIEW 11/21: I write this review in place of filling out the survey, since when I went to try, I found out that this location had removed the survey code from the bottom of their receipts--or at least it wasn't on mine. My hope is the manager will take notice of this review and the other similar comments I see for this location and take some steps to improve.

Pizza Hut has been my favorite pizza chain for 30 years. And I'm glad to say that on my most recent order at this location, the Dinner Box and wings were great. The order sat for 10 minutes after coming out, despite the store not being busy, but I understand that can happen. What wasn't good at all was the Tastemaker, which had two huge flaws: One, it was overbaked to the point of being dark brown. It was stiff like a cracker and had no 'flop' left. And two, as I see mentioned in other reviews, there was 2-3 inches of crust all around the edge. I noticed this before I left the store, and I was disappointed, but my options at that point are limited. I plan to return there, so I don't want to cause a scene. I also don't have 15 minutes to wait around for a replacement, while the rest of my order goes cold.

[A side note here about the thickness of crust at this location: On two previous orders at this Spring Garden location, I was actually given pizza that had 4-5 inches of bare crust all around. I kid you not: Only a very small circle at the center had sauce and cheese on it. Both times that happened, I later realized, I had ordered "light sauce." The staff clearly interprets that as meaning a smaller AREA of sauce rather than still covering the whole pizza, but spreading it thinner. That may be kinda funny, but IMO it's really not a reasonable interpretation of that request!]

Before moving recently, I ordered for about 10 years at the College Road location and never had any of these issues. I may start going back there, even though it's a bit more of a drive. Or I'll go to Domino's, which now has excellent Pan Pizza where the cheese is meant to go out to the very edge and does every time.

However, I'd prefer that the manager of this Spring Garden location institute some improvements, since I love Pizza Hut and it's a drag not to be able to trust that I'll get the quality I'm used to.

I use the Pizza Hut app to make a order from this location they sent a DoorDasher. on my camera I see the doordasher closing my food up and all the tags will pulled off which I can tell very easily on all three boxes so I didn't want to eat the food I call them and they tell me they can't do nothing about it. My camera is a sensor camera it doesn't record non-stop so when it started recording the first thing I see is him closing up a box when I come outside to get the food I'll look at the boxes that look like they're being open The tags are off I asked him why the tags off he said mann I did nothing to your food I wasn't about to sit there and argue with him so I said okay then he goes to scratch his nuts and that's what really made me not trust him 😅🤷. Anyway why is this DoorDasher opening up people food in the first place I doubt if he just want to look at the food. lady I talked to at the store told me that he's a good doordasher and he's been there for 2 weeks 😂😂😂 like lady he's a doordasher what are you talking about Y'all don't get the same doordasher every time and if y'all did get the same doordasher every time it only been 2 weeks not 2 years you don't know him and I say that because she said that he wouldn't do anything to the my food like she really...

When I arrived the woman working was alone and quite busy. I was patient. Got home and my pizza was burnt. No I did not look at the pizza when I got in the car although my experience previously was they show you the pizza before you leave. Anyhow, I called to complain she said she would put me down for a replacement at no charge. When I called to redeem this pizza last night and order additional I was treated as if I were looking to get over and receive a free pizza the representative was unable to confirm since the woman did not put it as a credit to my account. I waited for a supervisor who wasn’t empathetic nor too pleasant. I was trying to provide the confirmation number for the order on that day hoping it would help. Finally he located my name somewhere. At that point I didn’t want to purchase anything additional because of the headache the convo caused. When I arrived to pick up the pizza they were all lacking good customer service skills face to face as well.
