I visited this Sonic today (2/13/15) and it was the worst experience. The cashier took it upon herself to charge me for a combo when I only asked for a sandwich and a side. When I pressed the button again for clarification of the price a guy answered and had the nastiest attitude ever for no reason. He was extremely rude and hateful stating the price is what it is and that he could not change and asking "...do you want the sandwich or not..." I explained that I have ordered the exact same meal before and the price wasn't the same. However, prior to this his "explanation" was that it is cheaper to ring the combo than the sandwich and tots alone. Which is NOT true. He became increasingly angry when I told him I don't need a drink so I don't need the combo price. Needless to say I went across the street to another local restaurant and ordered my meal where they don't lie about prices. This is not the first time I've had such an experience at this Sonic. They have either tried to upsell me to something I did not order citing "...it is cheaper..." when it is not and I have had to argue about it to get the correct pricing. I would imagine they are doing this to nearly every customer that they can and getting away with it. They are probably pocketing the difference. Don't waste your time going here unless you want to be overcharged, tricked, and lied to. If you do go, be sure to be on your math "A" game because they are going to surely try...
Read moreVery disappointed about what has happened to this restaurant, I came through the drive through tonight as normal I order varing meals with large tater tots and a large unsweet tea, the big man in the drive through has a communication problem or a personality problem, he was not able to process the order with the large sides he could not process unsweet tea, in the past he has called unsweet tea "diet tea" and I though he was just creating another name for unsweet tea when he called it ocean water tonight, so he was only proficent in taking one third of my order because I received no large size sides from him and the drink was blue and sweet and not the unsweet tea I ordered, I returned to the store and stepped inside the employee only section of the store and requested a replacement for what I ordered I was only interested in the drink, when I was backing out of the parking space by the employee only for I saw the big man from the drive through looking down the side of the building where another employee had been taking out trash to the dumpster and may have left the door unlocked that I entered through, to me it seemed that the big guy from the drive through may have wanted to blame someone else for me entering the store in the employee only section to fulfill my order instead of blaming his own ineptness at his ability to take orders or his personality problem that led him to not be able to take a simple order at a fast food...
Read moreLearn how to treat people! I just left your establishment on Spring Garden Street and encountered one of the rudest employees I’ve ever seen at this location. I come through every week to get a bag of ice to take home and this particular week I used my prepaid card that I use for Internet purchases to purchase my bag of ice which required me to pay the cashier some change in order to use this card. The money has been sitting on this card for quite some time and all I wanted to do was clear the balance off, so it wasn’t sitting there any longer. The cashier helping me was very nice although she did not know how to do the split payment so she had to ask somebody else. The young man that helped her, however, was not kind at all and laughed when she told him that I was paying some change towards my balance, so that I could use this card. First of all that response was highly inappropriate and unprofessional. I made a comment loud enough for him to hear me say what my intent for using the card was and regardless, you don’t know a persons situation and that is absolutely unacceptable to treat any human being like that. I contacted the corporate office and made a complaint and I will never be back to this location again I will gladly take my weekly business...
