It was awful!! The food was bland and overcooked. I ordered the shrimp,, steak and chicken Texcanas. The shrimps were overcooked, shriveled and were like rubber, the steak and chicken was dry and very chewy. We didnt like the chips and salsa. The service was bad and our orders we incomplete. We had to keep asking for drink refill, the rest of our orders, salt for flavor, and extra flour fajita breads. We were three sets of friends. We asked for separate checks, she said yes, but ignored our request. All out food was on one bill, abbreviated without prices! There was no way to calculate how much each of us owed while sitting at the table. All of us had to stand at the cash register, without social distancing and trust that the cashier got our orders right and charged us for we individually ordered. We all agreed it was a nightmare! When I told the cashier that I was handicapped and that I had to wait 15 minutes standing up for all our orders to be calculated, she responded that "they were doing the best they can". I will not be...
Read moreWe arrived around 9:30pm. Took 6-7 minutes for us to get chips and another 10 for us to get drinks. Looked at my fork while waiting to order food and fork was dirty and stained. Finally ordered food. Son ordered Quesadillas and I ordered chicken fajitas. Food came to the table and there was a long black hair in my rice and beans. Lady decided to bend down an look closer at my food and said “oh there is a hair in your food!!” And then proceeds to tell me a story about her going to Applebees last week and the waitress was “having a bad day and there was hair in her food” and she was going to make my whole order all over again. My food finally came back and had to get another fork as she took my fork with my food back to the kitchen. Had to wait 3 minutes for another fork. Bill finally came for the table and not only did she not ring up my son’s food correctly but she only took off $3 for my “inconvenience “. Service was slow and had to send food back due to hair. Definitely won’t be...
Read moreI’ve been missing this place since the moment I moved from Greensboro earlier this year. An absolute staple of the community, San Luis is the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. I now live in a much bigger city, yet I’m struggling to find a new spot that matches the quality of San Luis.
The service is an absolute 10/10. Everyone there cares about giving you a memorable experience. Incredibly kind servers and hosts. They all deserve raises. The food is ridiculously good. Dine-in or takeout, you can’t go wrong either way. My go-to Mexican meal has always been enchiladas rancheras but they put love in EVERY dish. Fundido, fajitas, tacos, steak—whatever you get, it will be delicious. I’ve tried many items off the menu and have not once been disappointed.
Miss this place so bad. Ate there way too often during my days at UNCG. If I’m ever in the area again, San Luis will be...
