If I could give 0 stars, I would. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. It is so not worth it. I placed an online order ahead of their posted opening time and paid using the online platform. Ten minutes after Astro Dogs "opened," I received two texts to come pick up my order and that it was ready. I showed up to the location posted on their website. The woman working was unhelpful and uninterested, stating that "Astro Dogs doesn't open until 10" and that the location is now in Winston-Salem. I tried calling the posted number and was advised to show back up to the location at 10 pm for a cash refund. Being that I paid online, I should be able to receive my refund online! I called again at 10:30 pm and was again asked to come pick up my cash refund. It's extremely inconvenient to leave my house at 10:30 at night to be refunded in cash for something I paid for using my card! As soon as I said I couldn't come in person, I was told the boss said I should have my money by tonight or tomorrow. The phone call was ended without another word from the employee. At this point, it will be easier to dispute with my credit card company. Astro Dogs will just continue to...
Read moreMy son and I are now new fans of Astro Dogs! We've always wanted to try the Korean style corndogs so to find this here locally is awesome. The facility is a food truck (not an issue), but we hope that they will one day open a brick and mortar. The Cdogs were great! We had the Neptune (cool ranch dorito style) and the Moon (classic nacho dorito style) w/the half and half option (half cheese/half sausage). The taste reminded me of that classic carnival corndog taste, but on another level. The mozarella cheese and sausage combination was a welcomed mix/change of pace. I plan to get an all cheese corndog next time. I highly recommend that anyone local or visiting the Greensboro area please give Astro Dogs a try! They change their location sometimes on the weekends so please follow them on Instagram to know their exact location and...
Read moreOverall Score: 5.9/10 – A decent food truck with friendly staff, fair pricing, and a good concept, offering a casual and satisfying experience overall.
Atmosphere and Service: 6.0/10 – The setup was simple, clean and approachable. The people running the truck seemed nice and welcoming. While the idea behind the food is solid, the menu lacked clarity—it didn’t fully describe the items, requiring a look at a sample before ordering.
Corn Dog: 5.9/10 – A good item overall. The half-and-half mix of melty cheese on top and hotdog on the bottom was enjoyable and creative. It was served at a comfortable temperature, ready to eat without being too hot. The quality was decent for the price, making it a satisfying bite even if it didn’t stand out as...
