Having your employees write fake reviews doesn’t help your business from still being the same over-priced, penny-grabbing place it is. Your fake rose looks great but still doesn’t smell the same. Because here’s the truth: it’s not your employees responsibility to fix your problems. They’re the best part of coming up here. The backbone of Bottlecap used to be great. It was decently priced for the quality and quantity of food. It was a fun place to come watch a game and drink a few beers. You knew everyone from the managers to the kitchen to your server and bartender. It was laid back. Chill. A fun environment to make a close-knit community. Now whoever is in charge up there knit picks it all away. THAT is why your restaurant isn’t the same. One week something is one price and includes this and that and the next week it’s a higher price and doesn’t include anything. The food is mediocre for the price. Drinks are great. Atmosphere is dying. I still love a game of pool up there. You want loyal, happy customers, but refuse to do anything for them, then make your employees take the brunt of your failings. They’re are the BEST part of Bottlecap Alley! No matter when I come in or who I bring with. They all have great personalities. I’m always genuinely interested in getting to know my server. They always come at me with a smile, even when I know there having a hard day. They receive the face to face feedback about prices or rules as if it was their fault. My server got yelled at my another table and had to proceed with their day like they didn’t! I know from my conversations with my servers and from overhearing talk that your employees DO NOT get paid enough from you, from tips, or to be putting up with what they put up with. My REAL review? Bottlecap Alley is a cash grabbing restaurant that focuses on the wrong things to change. You’ll pay $4 one week and $8 the next. Their employees, however, are the new backbone of the company. They are hardworking, undersppreciated friendly people. Some with kids, some young, some old. All fantastic people who do their job with a smile. They make the trip worthwhile. So next time you go in to get your overpriced burger, bring an extra $20 to tip your waitress or waiter. They are the last thread Bottlecap Alley has before they wash away completely. I hope to return to this review one day to 5 stars when Bottlecap Alley changes their ways. Until then I will continue treating the staff as...
Read moreHubby and I ordered from here on 11/01/20 via GrubHub and the food was great! The burgers (one original and one patty melt) were cooked perfectly (medium rare) and had that great homemade burger taste and appearance. You know, when you take a bite and a little bit of grease slides down your hand - OMG yum!
I wasn't a fan of the coleslaw, but that's just me, so no points deducted there.
Onion rings were good but we only got like 6 or so, for about $5. Hubby liked the chili and it also reheated well without drying up.
Since then, we've attempted to order again; however, Grub Hub says they're closed until the next day, then the next day, still closed.
We called Grub Hub last night (we were trying to place a HUGE order) and the gent there said he verified with the restaurant that they're open and delivering, so he updated their info and we were able to place our order (about $160 or so). About 3 minutes later, we get an email from GrubHub and it said the order was canceled because the restaurant was busier than usual and couldn't complete the order. (Huh??). So, we were pretty ticked off at that point, so I decided to wait until today to call and speak with the manager.
I called the restaurant just now, spoke with manager (Casey I believe) and she explained that they currently are NOT using GrubHub because they don't have the correct menu and orders are coming through with multiple mistakes. She advised they have to 'close to GrubHub' every morning and she said she saw our order last night and was curious how it got through, as they still were 'closed' to GH. I explained the gent said he spoke w/the restaurant, confirmed they're up and running and opened them back up for orders.
Casey was very knowledgeable about the situation and said rather than have dissatisfied customers due to wrong orders from GH, they're not using them until the menu issue is fixed. She said DoorDash is also delivering for them and have worked out wonderfully. (FYI We live in Celeste and DD doesn't deliver to us.)
Based on Casey's knowledge of the situation, her empathy and her genuine concern about our cancelled order, we will definitely keep trying to order from them (yup, we're stalking them on GH)! I also advised her the phone number on GH is for a different location, so she'll get that fixed.
So overall, I'd give the food a 4 and the customer service a 10, so that's how I ended...
Read moreDrove 30 minutes to greenville for my birthday lunch to try out the new Bottle Cap Alley. Food qualiry was not what we expected or paid for. We understood why after the host/cashier explained it was owned by Pizza Hut. $24 for two people to eat lunch, ya that's a bit pricey. Unless your getting really good food.
My wife started to order wings and asked if they were breaded or not. The cashier said "do you like Pizza Hut wings? They are just like those." Joking with the girl I said "don't you meen like those, but better?" That was when she informed us that Pizza Hut owns this restaurant and the wings are exactly the same.
So she instead got the chicken nachos for obvious reasons. The nachos was a giant beer tray full of chips with only enough toppings for about 1/3 of the chips. When I say beer tray full I meen side to side, top to bottle, the full circle. After my wife was done eating the soggy chips that were covered with cheese, there was still enough chips left to refill the chip tray at your local mexican restaurant, 3 times.
I got a burger with bacon onions and BBQ sauce. They had some fancy name for it. The bun was great. That's about all I can say good about it. "Sautéed" onions were under cooked, meat was frozen patty of scrap meat and that had no flavor. It was about as bad as McDonald's burger. Oh, and very small. You want a quick burger, with flavor, that will fill you up, that comes with a drink and fries for about the same cost as just this burger, don't come here. Give What-a-burger or DQ a shot, you'll be happy you did.
Chilli-cheese fries were pretty good. Well the Queso was really good but the chilli was just OK. And the fries were good as well; until they got tired of swimming the back stroke in the swimming pool of Queso I was served, gave up and turned to mashed patatoes with chili and cheese.
Nice decor but very loud environment. Pool table, TVs on every inch of empty wall space, bar. It's a Buffalo Wild Wings copy cat wanna be with just above par food that is over priced. We won't...
