Oh heavens you cannot imagine how amazing First Watch is!!! This breakfast brunch haven is wicked if you want it but healthy if you desire.
I First went to FW in Charlotte during Helene and was sold! I am beyond blessed to know that we have multiple locations here as well.
FOOD Sorry I got excited and goofed my pictures of the avocado cheese bacon omelette with harvest toast jam and potatoes that were crispy little bites of textural breakfast love! And I shared half that meal with a stack of delicious chocolate chip pancakes 🥞 they were awesome (but I'll try the carrot pecan next time which would have b in my first choice!) the syrup is perfect!
SERVICE Brittany is so sweet and caring. She was helpful in suggestions (hence the omelette AND pancakes) and took care of JUST EVERYTHING 😁 She was a blessing and a ray of sweet sunshine. I felt cared for and wanted for nothing. She guided me through the entire experience. If you ask for her you will surely feel the same way!
VALUE Great value for the money. I think $4 for a soda is a bit high but I drink water so that price was right 👍 and it's healthy and comes in a lovely carafe 💧💦
LOCATION Ideal midtown location easy for coming from downtown (just minutes) and from Greer Or Taylors a breezy at they're in that Publix shopping center at the E Lee intersection so one could even come from East North or Suber.
ATMOSPHERE This gorgeous elegant beach decor has hard wood with soft accents and you feel like you can have some privacy but are with community. If you have a good imagination you can put yourself in Pensacola or eve down in the Keys or on a nice Caribbean or island in the Bahamas.
PARKING a lot of parking and some right up at the door for those who need a little extra help ♿
ACCESSIBILITY ♿ tables are accessible
They have a location in Simpsonville out by TJ Maxx and on on Woodruff Rd too for us to Enjoy!!! I...
Read moreEDIT #2- still no email back and I’ve sent two follow ups. For this reason, I will not return to any First Watch. I understand that things occasionally happen but the company’s absolute refusal to respond means I won’t be returning.
EDIT- I sent an email, as instructed in their reply. An automated response said they’d get back with me within 3 business days. I have yet to hear from them.
I stopped in on Thursday, March 6th and had what I always have at First Watch, a chicken pesto quinoa bowl. It was so greasy that I couldn’t eat it. I ate about 1/3 of it and notified the waitress. She apologized but didn’t offer anything more. The girl at the register asked how the meal was and I told her about the experience. She once again apologized but offered nothing more. I am not happy to have spent almost $16 including tip for something I could t even eat. Service was also very slow and our waitress only returned when I flagged her down. She was also working as the hostess and cashier, but I’m not sure why because it wasn’t busy and there was a ton of staff just walking around not doing much. I hope this location improves because it’s not at all consistent with what I’ve come to expect from First Watch. My husband has never tried it and had planned to go to the one in Charlotte, NC this weekend but wouldn’t go after the experience I had here. I likely won’t be back to this location.

Read moreAbove average. Great menu selections. Most breakfast items $10-20 before adding coffee. Pros: Modern, clean, well lit, lots of seating options (Farm type thick wood Tables, booths, counter), clean bathrooms. I really like that they had full coffee and water decanters on the table. Large coffee mugs on the tables ready to fill as soon as you sat down. Sausage links were good. No extra charge for GF bread/toast.
Cons: ordered poached eggs medium. They came out thin runny whites not fully cooked. Returned them. 2nd time they were better but still not what I ordered. Potatoes: lukewarm, some were hard under-cooked. Taste: yuck no flavor Need different kind of potatoes, seasoning maybe onions or green peppers would improve flavor 3 bathrooms, but no urinals for men! The room needs some sound absorbing material on walls and/or ceiling. Dining room is loud-you can't control people, but you can control acoustics. Some chairs are metal and that made them very cold to sit on. I might go again. There are local restaurants that may not have the flare this one has, but have tasty correctly cooked food and prices under $10 a...
