Rebeccas — Restaurant in Greenwich

This was the wrost restaurant I have experienced!!! Our table was 30mins late, at the bar I told the staff that my dad was diabetic and will need to eat soon. We got seated 10mins later, we asked for bread because my dad was starting feeling weak. We ordered some appetizer straight away and again I stressed to the waiter the situation. My dad ordered some oysters which in principle will only take few minutes to be served so he decides to take his insulin shot. 1h LATER still no food!!! I go see the manager pretty upset, we had been in this restaurant for 1.40mins and we've only been served bread!!!! I told them we did not want our food anymore just my dad's so we can go. The response was we don't want your money just leave now! Whoooo! So off we go waiting for our coat the waiter comes around and apologize for the way it went down. The owner I suppose comes charging telling us to leave or he will call the police! I tell him I am waiting for my coat and HE should call the police because my dad could have ended in hospital because of their poor time management, disregard for customer needs, and clearly bad service! He replies I don't care your dad can die just get out and bring him to hospital!!!! I was so shock and upset, I was really close losing my temper on this awful awful man. I have never ever been treated like this in my entire life! So obviously I will never eat there, but I will ask my friends to boycott this place. Truly an incredible culinary experience! There is no other place in Greenwich like it. Rebecca herself hosts you in her beautiful dining room with full view of the kitchen. All the food is a masterpiece, made to order, with only the finest ingredients. The menu has so many options…it’s actually mind blowing. We recently went to Rebeccas to celebrate our daughter's 16th Birthday. We were a party of 11 and reserved the table 2 weeks prior to her Birthday. The table we received was absolutely terrible. We were squeezed in between a wall and another table and could barely fit in. The owner was completely unhelpful even though we had just spent $600 on a dinner at his restaurant a couple of weeks ago. We left and will certainly never come back.
