The Chicken Coop & Deli — Restaurant in Greenwich

I live on Long Island and my wife grew up in Greenwich so every time we visit up there we make it a must to stop here. We only come there for one thing too: the High School Special or any variation thereof, with potato puffs of course. Throw some seasoning in there and shake up the bag (which by the way is safe to put in your oven for reheating), some honey mustard for dipping and you have such a delicious meal. Have stopped by many times over the years, always a great hit and run chicken joint. It reminds me of the old Thomlinsons in Bridgeport. Small white building You go in one door walk by the counter Pick up your order and walk out the other side door. It has a certain charm to it. Anyway I usually get the High School Special which is their homemade chicken nuggets with fries and Lawreys salt. I have given this place numerous numerous chances only to be let down almost every single time. I live only 1 block away and it always takes a very long time to get my food many times well over an hour! They have been rude at times but it seems to be the same guy. The rest of the staff are great. There has been a few times that they were out of things i ordered and didnt seem to care to fix the situation in the proper manner. On top of it all the food is mediocre at best. I would not at all...
