UPDATE: I have updated my review to 1 star, yet another negative experience from a once wonderful restaurant. I donât believe I will be returning to this particular facility. In others towns Iâll give it a go, but in Grenada, MS I will not.
ORIGINAL: Really would like to give 2.5 because this McAllisters used to be wonderful. We would drive 30 min to eat here 2-3 days a week. Now, itâs not worth the travel. We still eat here when we are in the area, but itâs not what it was or even could be. The staff seems bothered to offer any help. If one of the managers like Scott is there it is a different story, things get much better. The food is still fine most of the time when they get it right. Instead of saying they are out of most of the ingredients for the sandwhich they just give you bread with meat and nothing else. This evening marks the 3rd consecutive visit for this same type of problem. This evening we arrived to only a few tables being taken, after 30 minutes I walked to the front to check on our food. It was sitting on the counter. It wasnât in the food window with a warmer. I had to ask for the food, and then find out the southwest sandwich only had the chicken and a partial piece of avocado, nothing else. They werenât eager to make it right either. The service just needs to improve. It may never be what it was, but this needs to get better. This is the reason we donât cone here...
Read moreI ordered soup and waited 55 minutes at McAlister's in Grenada, MS and never received my soup. People who ordered 45 minutes after I did received their order. After 30 minutes of waiting, I asked one of the workers to check on my order. She never came back to respond to me about my order. After 55 minutes of waiting for my order of soup, I asked the manager for a refund - which he gave me. He in no way tried to appease me for their very poor service. This is the 2nd time in 3 months that this has happened at the Grenada, MS McAlister's. The last time my order was lost. I overlooked that time because mistakes can be made. Recently I order a baked potato at this McAlister's. When I received it half of it was warm and the other half cold as it could be. As I was leaving the restaurant today, several customers said this is the worst McAlister's - orders are slow and orders get mixed up often. If you are traveling on I-55 and want to get a quick bite and then continue traveling, this McAlister is NOT the place to stop. The McAlister name has a good reputation. The Grenada restaurant does not meet, in any way, the standards that other...
Read moreMcAlisterâs has always been one of my go-to spots, and this visit reminded me why. I tried the new Witches Brew and it was amazingârefreshing, flavorful, and the perfect seasonal drink. Itâs definitely something Iâll be coming back for while itâs available.
Of course, the food is just as impressive as ever. The chicken salad sandwich never disappointsâitâs consistently fresh, flavorful, and made just right every time. The loaded ultimate nachos are another favorite; generous portions, perfectly layered, and packed with flavor. Together, itâs a combination that always hits the spot.
On top of the great food and drinks, the service was warm and welcoming. The staff made sure everything came out quickly and just the way I ordered it. The restaurant was clean, comfortable, and inviting, making it a great place to sit back and enjoy a meal.
McAlisterâs continues to be a favorite of mine, and with new seasonal treats like the Witches Brew paired with their classic menu staples, it just keeps getting better. Highly recommend stopping inâyou wonât be...
