I like the food here. Itâs quick and generous and tasty. They have a good beer selection. They donât, however, have good cocktails. I asked for a Cadillac margarita and my daughter asked for their fruit margarita (mango I believe). They arrived in pint glasses, minimal to no ice, and horribly sweet from the excess fake lime juice. There was no gran marnier float (Cadillac). I sent it back and asked that it be put into a bucket or smaller glass. The bartender was offended as they usually are and simply strained the already awful cocktail into a smaller glass, forgetting to salt the rim and added 3 ice cubes. I flagged down a server and asked that the bartender remake the the margarita. She rolled her eyes at the table and said âdo you want her to make it again? She put alcohol in itâ. I wasnât questioning the liquor content. I simply wanted a drinkable cocktail without having to swallow a pint of overly sweet lime syrup. (Craft cocktails with actual real fresh squeezed lime would of been way to difficult and out of the bartenders limited skill level). They made another, again no salt and no ice. I tipped the original young lady who served us and my daughter and I did not drink our cocktails. I understand that the bartender thought she was making a good drink by serving it in a pint. The cocktail server thought I wanted more alcohol. Neither were correct. It was just horrible. I will be back but for the Mac and cheese and a glass of wine. Hard to mess that up unless itâs been open too long. Geesh! If you order a cocktail here make sure you have step by step instructions for...
Read moreNow one would think a bar on the Spring Water Corridor would welcome people out for a walk and wanted to stop in for a drink and some gambling (Good Old Video Crack) now at this bar it felt exactly the opposite! Yes i understand the increase of homeless on the trail even today, after they did the big up root of the homeless camps about a year ago. I will tell you i was not refused service but was set aside. I do understand your regulars are important but they all looked on the older side , you will need new ones they are going to pass away a some point. There were2 bartenders working. One was doing a amazing job. He went by Lee if i am not mistaken. The other didnt catch his name but he looked like a 50 year old man trying to dress like he is 20, he did nothing but seemed to me as tall to friends while his counterpart did all the work, the other bartender even tried to get his attention to help but his conversation with looked like friends wa more important than new or even semi regular patrons.
I felt not welcomed or invited. I do not recomend this to anyone that might enjoy a walk or bik ride on a beautilul day. They did not impress me. Drinks were week and food was decent.
Would of gave them more chances but i was passed by numerous...
Read more"the Ville," is a favorite of locals' and a destination worthy of all the Portland-metro. A classically solid & reasonably priced menu features great daily specials. These are highlighted by the 50¢ tacos every Wednesday, and headlined every Thursday by a bacon wrapped filet mignon, served with all the fixin's for about $10. The staff are all service industry veterans who know how to pour great drinks that range from ol' skool to contempary/trendy. They can crack ya a PBR-tallboy, pour a craft beer draught, or sling ya a tasty cider. It's a great spot, with a big ol' heated patio (with covered ping pong), a pool table, 6 VP machines and friendly staff (except Kathy). Hit 'em up Friday and say hi to Lee or Saturday and give Terry his props. Then drag yourself down for football on Sunday morning for dynamic service from Jennie, plus a breakfast buffet and giant...
