⭐☆☆☆☆ Extremely Disappointed by Racial Profiling

I’ve been a regular customer at this new Afghan store since it opened. It’s close to home, carries many organic products I love, and reminds me of the food and culture I grew up with. Until now, I was always excited to shop there. The staff has generally been kind and welcoming — until today.

Today, I had an extremely upsetting experience that I cannot ignore. One of the employees, whom I’ve seen before and who had previously been polite, made derogatory comments about Haitian people — right in front of me. He assumed I was Haitian and said things like “Haitians are ugly,” among other disrespectful remarks. I’m not Haitian, but that’s not the point — no one deserves to be racially profiled or insulted like that, regardless of their background.

What made this even more shocking is that this man is an immigrant himself. For someone who should understand the challenges of being from a different culture, his words were not only ignorant but deeply offensive.

This kind of behavior has no place in any business, especially one that is part of a diverse community. I walked out without saying anything because I was in shock. But I will not stay silent about it now.

I hope the store owners take this seriously. I would love to continue supporting this business, but not at the cost of my dignity or anyone else’s. Until something is done, I will no longer shop here, and I hope others think twice before supporting a place that allows this kind...

The variety and prices of goods are unmatched. There is a fine selection of things to taste, as well as tasteful things to purchase.

After returning to this market twice after discovering it, the Restaurant is top notch authentic. The Naan is an experience, as is the Kabobs, Pilafs, and the new challenger to the Burrito-- the Afghan Burger.

Selections of Halal and Vegetarian options line the well stocked shelves. This supermarket is indeed super, featuring a complete butcher as well.
