Taqueria Rico Taco — Restaurant in Gresham

Came into Rico Taco to order some food, as I’ve had decent experience with service and food prior to today. Today though was a whole different story. Family and I came in and started ordering. When I went up to order, I asked about their burritos and the size of the burrito. Very rudely the cashier answered back that they only have one side. I let it slide and asked how big the burrito was, as they vary from place to place. Again, she rudely replied with, there is only one size and it’s regular. To that I replied, well how big is your so called “regular” burrito. She literally raised her voice and said “I can’t tell you that, our burritos are regular size.” No idea what her problem was, but this time I called her out on her rudeness and all she said was, “I was never rude, I answered you and told you that our burritos are regular size.” I think her name was Sofia. So, if you decide to come in, I’d be wary of asking her any questions regarding the food, cz she just might bark at ya.

Horrible service, and I definitely won’t be coming back as long as she has a job here.

I had a talk with the manager of the Taqueria and he was very open, humble, and ready to listen to what I had to say. Although I had a negative experience here on Monday, the attentiveness of the manager to make sure his customer was heard and thanking them for being open to talking to him has earned my respect.

This place can be hit or miss. We come here regularly because all in all the food is good. However the service we received today was no where near satisfactory. We purchased a couple of tortas and taquitos from the drive thru. When we got home there was a whole half of avocado peel in the sandwich! We ended up calling just to make them aware that something like that could make someone sick or even be a choking hazard. We were not calling to be refunded cause ultimately the sandwich was edible so we didn't wanna be wasteful but thought someone should know to pay more attention. They got upset and sat on the phone and argued that it wasn't a big deal! Then proceeded to say there was no supervisor or owner on site till tomorrow morning and that we would have to wait till then to talk to someone. When It could have been as simple as saying sorry and we'll talk to whoever needs to be talked to. I'm sorry but with as big as the peel was this does not seem to be a simple mistake especially when it was in the middle of the sandwich how does that go un noticed??? I could understand if it was a little chunk of peel but clearly not! This is not the first occurrence either where they act inconvenienced when they make a mistake and should take accountability for the poor service especially the lady who answer the phone she has no customer service at all when acting like we’re a bother to her but yet can’t pass us through to someone who could help until arguing on the...

This place added a Ten dollar tip to my credit card when my son went through the drive through with my card ,and left the tip area blank. I called the manager (Elijah) and he said he would look into it and call me back. That was 2 weeks ago and no phone call. I wonder how many people they have done this to who just didn't catch it, or did and were blown off like me? This ends 15 years of eating there for my family! What a disappointment! Since I got no response from the manager, I had to initiate a dispute with my bank. They refunded me the money before I was off the phone with them, and are going after this place for the 10 dollars. The phone representative even said " 10 people a day... that's quite a bit of money per month, per year.... I agree!
