Y'all, let me tell you about this food spot I stumbled upon. I'm talkin' about a hidden gem that'll make your taste buds do the electric slide. If you're craving some Southern soul food that tastes like your grandma made it, this place is the holy grail.

Now, picture this: you walk in, and the aroma hits you like a warm hug from your sweet old granny. The place is cozy and everyone greets you with a smile. You know you're in for a treat.

First up, let's talk about their seafood dressing. Oh, man! This ain't your average side item, folks. This is the kind of dressing that'll make you want to slap your mama...in a good way, of course. It is juicy and seasoned to perfection. It's like a taste bud symphony, y'all.

But wait, there's more. The mac and cheese? Creamy, cheesy goodness that'll transport you straight to comfort food heaven. It's like a warm blanket for your soul. And don't even get me started on the yams. They're so flavorful, you'll be convinced they were cooked with a sprinkle of magic.

Now, let's talk about the variety of options with the daily specials, whew, 😅 give me one of everything, sir!!! The prices are unreal! So much food for a great price!

And for dessert, they've got so many cakes! I didn’t even make it that far.

So, if you're in the mood for some Southern soul food that'll make you feel like you're sittin' at Grandma's kitchen table, look no further. This place is a culinary time machine that'll take you back to a simpler, tastier era. Just be prepared to loosen that belt buckle, 'cause you're gonna want to eat until you can't move. Trust me, your taste buds will be forever grateful.

My biggest takeaway is this gentleman loves what he does, uses top notch ingredients and cooks with his heart and soul. Much love and see...

I recently dined at Chickens Kitchen, and I must say, my experience left me quite disappointed. Let's dive into the highlights, or should I say lowlights, of this establishment.

First and foremost, let's address the elephant in the room - the owner. Unfortunately, I found the owner to be quite an unpleasant character. It came to my attention that he has a habit of recording unsuspecting customers without their consent and posting these videos on his Instagram account. Not only is this a breach of privacy, but it also shows a lack of respect towards his patrons. It's disheartening to see someone prioritize social media likes over common decency.

Moving on to the food, I found it to be a major letdown. The dishes I tried were excessively salty, to the point where it overpowered any other flavors present. It's a shame because I had high hopes for the culinary experience at Chickens Kitchen, but unfortunately, the excessive saltiness overshadowed any potential enjoyment.

Despite these disappointments, I will give credit to the restaurant for its casual atmosphere. The laid-back ambiance created a relaxed setting, which was a small silver lining in an otherwise lackluster visit.

In conclusion, my visit to Chickens Kitchen left much to be desired. The unprofessional behavior of the owner, with his questionable social media practices, was concerning. Moreover, the excessive saltiness of the food was a major drawback. While the casual atmosphere was a positive aspect, it simply wasn't enough to compensate for the overall...

Came here for the first time with my family. Each day has specific items on the menu. On the one day we came, it was a coincidence that they were selling oxtail and that’s what I reallllly wanted based on the pictures that I’ve seen. The 5th guy ahead of me got the last one sooooo I guess I’ll never know because we travel back to Texas tomorrow morning. We did order their fried catfish, fried chicken, and fried pork ribs with a variety of their sides such as their smothered okra, turkey stuffings, candied yams, dirty rice, stir fried cabbage, and their mac-n-cheese. Other than the turkey dressing and dirty that tasted ok, everything else was heavy and packed with delicious flavor. Fried chicken was super juicy, the pork ribs weren’t fall-off-the bone, but it still had amazing texture and taste. The catfish was delicious as well. Off to the side, they also sell desserts so we got the brownie and some kind of strawberry cupcakes. The cupcakes were decent, but that brownie was thick and diabetes good. Definitely worth stopping by this place when you’re in town. The only thing I wish they did was have the option of ordering 2 meat choices.

The staff are fast and friendly. This is a hole-in-the-wall type of restaurant so don’t expect to be waited on, seated, etc. Free street parking is limited. They have a neat little system to control the long lines. If you see a line outside, then wait in line. The staff will call a group of people to come in at once and there are stools outside for people to sit on while they wait. No...
