The customer service is absolutely horrible. The male with the long locks is beyond rude. Went in for a television there was no one to assist in over 90 minutes. Then looked for help, nothing. Find a television close to what we were looking for, grab it and go to checkout at customer service, its ringing up three hundred dollars higher, so we carry the TV to where we got it. Then grab the post for TV and price and wait for customer service again to see why is there a price difference and what was the true price, the same guy, since he scanned us first, cuts into our questions of price mismatch and says he is going to the back and check. He comes to the back and goes back and forth with us on which tv because there were two types were we placed it, so I stated we want this one, he tells over and over that it being displayed doesn't mean its that TV, so I stated we can see that, there was a 2 size difference, but it still proved what it dispel and what we thought it was is the same number, smh and he tells me to look at the skus. I remind him I know how to read a sku, the issue is that there was one digit off with the TV we brought up and the TV that was advertised and we actually wanted. That was the only tv of that type, in the same cluster of what we wanted , same box, and this one had no price or display it was simply intertwined and identical to our tv off by one single digit, that we noticed not the guy. He was already walking off because he expected me to look at ever single sku of TVs that I did not want. We wanted one and just wanted to figure out why did the sign read that it was the right tv with what is on the box and it not ring up properly. They could simply organize their TV and displays and have someone working in the area. Because getting an attitude for choosing to walk to the TV section because your store has noone available to help with a section in the store and not offer to give any input or assistance carrying two tvs back and forth from the back and front is not good service or mediocre service its just bad. This is a horrible store. Last time I was here the service was bad and I had the same guy handling a return then. If you don't want to work somewhere then don't work there, no point and using your bad attitude to destroy someone else's good day. I literally dread going to some stores now people treat customers so bad, and its so much easier to order on line, get exactly what you want without someone being rude to you for simply trying to have an efficient shopping trip even if no...
Read moreThe manager Miguel refused to price match a Microsoft Surface Pro 7 that was selling on Amazon for less because "they were losing money on it." He said that "99% of the time we honor the price match but in this case it's just too much of a discount." He told me to talk to his manager who wasn't there but would be there tomorrow. I then tried to get a different price match for the same product, and Miguel told me that he would call his manager. After a few minutes, a security guard forced me to leave. He said that Miguel told him to make me leave. I would like to get an explanation about what the official Price Match Guarantee policy at Best Buy is. The experience I had was humiliating and shockingly anti-customer.
Edit: I just had an even worse experience, somehow...
The next day (today) I came into the store, per Miguel's suggestion. I spoke to an employee Anthony about the price match. He said that the manager was not in and that he was the manager at the moment. He said, "Aren't you the guy from yesterday? No, we're not going to price match that." I asked why. He said "We just can't. The price is too low." I asked if I could record him saying that for proof and took out my phone but didn't start recording.
Anthony then said, "You're not going to record me. I'm going to have to ask you to leave." He then called the police to come to the store. A separate employee then tried to help me by asking for the SKU # and name of the product. In the midst of the employee trying to help me, three police officers came. They said that I needed to leave, "because the manager asked me to leave."
The policeman said it was illegal to stay in the store and told me they could arrest me if I didn't. I began heading toward the door, and then a police offer stopped me and asked me for my ID. I asked, "Can't I just leave?" The policeman said, "We can do this the hard way and I arrest you, or we can do it the easy way and you can give me your ID."
I gave the policeman my ID and they ran a check on it. They held me in the store for 10 minutes before escorting me out.
I feel incredibly upset, embarrassed, and sad about how my two experiences in the Harvey Best Buy store went. I would like to report the two managers Miguel and Anthony for completely humiliating me by calling guards and policemen to kick me out of the store. I would also like an explanation regarding Best Buy's official price...
Read moreI purchased a smart tv online from their website. I paid an extra $6 so it will be delivered the same day. I received a damaged merchandise. The tv screen was cracked. So I looked up in the app and the website for their return and exchanged policy, "Send it with the prepaid mailing address or return it to a store for easy and quick". So I checked the nearest one and of course all the way to the Westbank where it came from. The next day, I went to the store for an even exchange and thought I will be out of there within 20 minutes. Nope. Not only a Geek Squad associate told me that anything ordered online must be returned by sending it out and disregard what their website says. As I was about to do finalized the transaction, customer service and Geek Squad guy says the third party that they used for shipping didn't closed out their manifest. So they can't find my order number. It says it was still on delivery. They made me wait for 20 minutes and when I came back to finalize it the transaction, my order wasn't showing in their system. Customer service guy says it can take 24 hours so I need to come back the next day. I told them I'm trying to get this situation resolved since I have a busy schedule and will not making a trip to cross the bridge again from New Orleans to the West Bank. The guy had the audacity to tell me that if I want the TV I should make time. How dare he! As I was waiting for their system to refresh, I emailed Shipt that's the delivery third party they used, about the situation. I left the store angry and contacted their customer support care by phone immediately and explained the situation I had to endured. I told them they have a contradicting return policy and should be aware it's misleading. Jan(customer support) not only explain the return policy thoroughly but also offered a replacement to be ship the next day and emailed a return address. If you're going to purchased and considering Best Buy online, have a second thought and if you decided to go to a store, stick around in the New Orleans area and not cross the bridge. Better yet, go buy it Amazon instead. In addition, Shipt emailed me back saying they found my delivery order and it was closed all along. So who's lying here?
Edit: These self rated 4 or 5 stars are a JOKE! There is no way people living in New Orleans can receive an excellent customer service from this timbuk...
