Blatant discrimination. My sister & i have frequented this establishment pretty regularly to take advantage of taco Tuesdays which have been canceled by many restaurants since the pandemic. The food is average & the margaritas boast a wide variety of flavors. My siter is dies nit eat red meat or pork and usually orders shrimp tacos. We were told a few weeks ago that shrimp were no longer served on Tuesdays. Well that is weird...but ok. Long story short - today we arrived a bit earlier than usual, had a different server & were informed that "if course shrimp are served on Tuesday- just not at the discounted price." We happily ordered our $2.75 shrimp tacos. Later a black family came in with 4 children. They were told that shrimp were not available on Tuedays. Meanwhile, simultaneously, a white party of three was allowed to order shrimp tacos. I went to the counter & asked to speak to the manager. Alex proceeded to spew out lies that they had run out of shrimp since lunch time (unaware that I had just consumed his shrimp less than 45 minutes earlier or that the party of three white people had just ordered shrimo tacos & had not been informed of the no shrimo on Tuesday" rule.) After an uncomfortable silence, he said that they prefer to "save their shrimp for menu items outside of tacos." And what about the white family who had placed a taco order less than five minutes before?" No explanation. The bottom line readers...the items that may cost a little more are not available to people if color. (Nor are the drink specials by the way. I will spare you those details.) People of color - i beg of you - in tgese times where iur actions are speaking so much louder than words that fall on deaf ears -do NOT support this establishment which obviously conforms to bias beliefs about people of color & the money that they have and/or are ...
Read moreJust wasn't impressed, my food was soggy with tons of un melted cheese chicken wasn't fresh more like canned chicken( may not have been ) not for the price it should have been fresh Update:: You must have me mistaken me for someone else. I had a table of 4 and my bill was 60.00 I had the shredded chicken quesadilla and it was very soggy and a large amount of unmelted ( it was so much it couldn't be melted all the way) white cheese. I didnt get a discount I didnt ask for one I paid full price. I did eat 1 of the four pieces ( it was cut into 1/4 slices) I personally didnt care for it, it was a disappointing meal that I left on the table. My table mates enjoyed thier meals that's why I gave you a 3 star review because I personally dont like soggy quesadillas I like the cheese to be melted and not so excessive it over takes everything and so much it cant be melted. Your staff was wonderful I apologize if I have offended you but I stand behind my review and I'm being as honest as I can. I didnt try to get anything free or discounted. Maybe you could adjust the way you make the quesadillas and then again maybe your regular customer base enjoys them that way. I don't. Good luck and have a...
Read moreI can't believe I never stopped in here until my mother expressed interest. Starting with the negative...Just like many of the reviews I have read said, the atmosphere isn't the best. (It's clean!) It's got bad acoustics and they weren't playing any music so you can hear everything. Now the good part. The service was nice. The young woman waiting our table was super patient. The food...this isn't a mediocre Tex-Mex place which I have always assumed. The food is good. And they have enough respect for the cultural aspect of eating to separate the tex-mex dishes from the Mexican dishes on the menu. My mom liked her enchiladas and she is pretty picky. I got the mole! It's good, very good, excellent. That is an automatic 4 stars. I may go back and ask if I can buy a container to take home. However, the chicken wasn't tender. They don't shred the chicken into the mole, they pour the mole over chicken filets which weren't tender. I didn't see an option for other meats with the mole. Overall, I'll...
