I am a person who does not normally write bad reviews, but this lack of customer service needs to get addressed immediately. We had a horrible interaction with the hostess at the location in Gretna, so bad that my fiancee never wants to go back at this point and I am a huge fan of the steak Dianne. My birthday is Friday, June 9th, but we were going for an early birthday dinner on Wednesday, June 7th with a few of his coworkers who are in from out of town for work. They are known for not only spending good money on food but also drinking a good bit as well. We had already decided his coworker alone wanted to get either a bone in ribeye or the tomahawk and he always orders a to-go order for the next day as well ( clearly about a $150 bill or more just on one person!!). We originally told the hostess possible 8 people but no more than 9. Well 4 of us were there and hungry so we asked to just start a 4 top so we can get started eating, ( I am also a diabetic so I cannot miss meals or my medications will get me sick, etc). The hostess then told us we had to wait for the rest of the party, and there was no way that the people would be able to even sit around us even if they specifically said "Hey we know those people at that table can we sit near them" I specifically asked that question because most places would at least say "If it can be accommodated, etc" but she flat out told us no. We understood they may have a different server which was no big deal but then she specifically told us that they would be seated across the restaurant and there was no chance of them sitting anywhere near us, even though there were many open tables in the areas. I have worked 15+ years in customer service many of those years as a hostess at many restaurants including fine dining. I have never told a customer flat out "NO" unless they were dead wrong and I normally would pass it off to my manager at that point so they could assess the situation at hand. There was no trying to reason with her and I was extremely disappointed and had to go to Texas Roadhouse where I had phenomenal service (as normal) when I could've been seated right away and not . I have been to this restaurant many times and have never had issues in the past. I specifically requested this restaurant for my birthday dinner since no one else had been here instead of the many other options around the area. I am just sadly disappointed and I doubt I will be returning soon. We go out to eat weekly with his coworkers ( who are intown for work) this could have been a big hit with them since they enjoy good quality food but unfortunately this was a flop for not only a local but out of...
Read moreI would leave a zero star review if I could. In short, I have never been so appalled nor treated so poorly by the staff of a restaurant. This is absolutely no exaggeration.
We went this past weekend for a holiday work dinner. Most of our party arrived early and had drinks at the bar before being seated in their private room. Honestly, most of the apps, entrees, etc. were really good. Our server was good as well. The cadence of our meal was pretty typical in terms of timing when you factor in apps, entrees, and desserts. However, towards the end of our collective meal, the manager popped his head in and informed us that another party was waiting for our table and "we had been there long enough." I am paraphrasing, but that is the gist of his message.
Let's stop right there. The primary function of your restaurant - a business - is to generate revenue through the sales of food and drink. Simply put, we were still enjoying ourselves, and we may have stayed and spent more money. However, you made sure that came to an abrupt stop. Excellent managing of a restaurant. I hope the sarcasm is painfully apparent. You don't kick your customers out when they are enjoying their time at your restaurant. That is, unless you want to ensure they never come back.
To add insult to injury, a few of us waiting on rides went to the bar to have some more drinks before we left. My wife, being animated in conversation, accidentally knocked over her glass of wine, which subsequently spilled and the wine glass shattered. The bartender immediately tells her she is "cut off." I honestly thought she was joking. She then proceeded to inquire if we were driving or not. For reference, we were not driving but using rideshare services. I understand potential liability of the restaurant and whatnot, but that does not give you the right to give us an inquisition on this topic. We are all adults.
To sum up: between these experiences, not only will I NEVER spend another dime in one of Legacy's establishments -- I will go out of my way to let other people know to spend their hard-earned money elsewhere. Lastly, I've had several conversations with other former patrons since our experience, and they have ALL noted similar poor experiences.
For the proprietors of Legacy, our total spend was somewhere in the neighborhood of $2,000.00. Strong work by your staff.
AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.

Read moreI rarely star places 1. I had a terrible experience! The staff was horrible. Every single order we had was wrong. And when I'm ordering 32 dollar steak that's unfortunate. I ordered $12 crab meat that I really really wanted. They didn't give it too me and made it a problem when I was like well if u didn't put it on my food don't put it on my bill. They gave me a sour glass of wine that would have made anyone sick. I use to be a bartender and that bottle tasted open over a 2 or 3 months and that's a health code violation. You are subpost to dispose old wine about a week later. Tasted way past spoil date. Was truly disgusting! Then a very unruly, and very unprofessional man with a sour attitude comes and basically yells at my table because I was upset about the wine. They couldn't just open a new bottle of wine. Or tell me which of the 4 of the pinot noir brands had been open recently. HE WAS TRYING TO LIE TO ME ABOUT THE WINE. I KNOW MY WINE AND ITS NOT SOUR LIKE THAT EXPECIALLY A BOTTLE IVE DRANK BEFORE. I WAS SOOOOO MAD. I WILL NEVER RETURN. HE WAS A UNRULY GUY WITH A CHEF SHIRT, VERY DIRTY, HAD A BOYISH ATTITUTE. AND TRIED TO SAY HE WAS THR MANAGER AND ALSO OVERSEEN THE BAR AND KNOW WHAT THEY WERE POURING. YOU WILL NEVER HAVE SOMEONE BELIEVE U WITH A BEHAVIOR LIKE THAT. I didnt say anything but I'm thinking in the back of my head the closing group must be playing because this guy odviously is not running his kitchen correct or staff is by chance he is a manager. Total fail on him. Got every dish wrong, my waitress was so mediocre which I dont expect at such an expensive nice place killed more of the vibe, and was sooo upset about the wine but more about how they treated me so the incident. I still am upset. We still had a good time but only because we laughed off the situations to save our night for ourselves! I was furious. This was Monday 4/25/22 we were the last hour...
