I am going to say. This owner has a sense of entitlement and arrogance. What she considers candor and directness, is otherwise, rude and insensitive.
I was looking through her website to locate where I can buy a recipe. I struggled locating the search bar. The site felt a bit new to me. Or so I thought given I couldn't find my way around easily. So, i messaged Gina to inquire where I can order.
She clarified her site had not changed then proceeded to say you can use the search bar like any other site. If it was that easy, I wouldn't of reached out. I explained i didn't see the search bar and I can send screenshot in the off chance my view looked a bit different. She then said I don't need screenshot it's my site. You log in and go to members tab and then search. I use it every day I know it works. All to say, yes she was right. But her tone and coldness that came across, was annoyed. I did end up finding it. Thanked her. But shared that she can use a little patience and that she xame across annoyed.
Not once did she apologize for "oh I am sorry you cant find it, I am glad to help" .. she was cold. Annoyed. And wanted to belittle me instead. When I called her out for it. She then got highly defensive and call me rude. Told me I was being too sensitive anx that she helped me and then I insulted her. I have an entire string of convo captured.
As a business professional, whether client is right or wrong. The client was needing help. If the client felt that interaction was rude. You work to resolve, not insult the customer instead. How she is in business with the way she talks to customers. Is beyond me. She lacks professionalism. Gina, do better. You may think your doing good. But you could really use some tips on communication. English might not be first language for some. Some cultures may communicate differently. Some might have visual impairment and struggle seeing things. Regardless, you should think about how you communicate with clients.
Gina, seems to also conveniently decide what reviews are warranted on her Google site. She offers a service locally and virtually by selling her recipes. She can't just decide what reviews she wants to keep and what reviews she doesnt. If she wants them separated. She should have diff website for her recipes. As far as I am concerned, she...
Read moreThis was my 3rd time ordering and every time I was blown away by how beautiful and tasty her cake pops and cake balls were. For my daughter's 2nd b-day we had a Mickey theme and the cake pops came out perfect! She is always quick to respond, professional and helps work out the details of any possible ideas you have to get the theme you want. Every time we try a new flavor, we can't believe how good it is. We have done amaretto sour, Andes mint, Chantilly berry, so strawberry for orders but have tried her holiday mixed packs as well. Move over cupcakes and cake these are so fun and worth it! My photo does not do the...
Read moreI recently purchased a recipe from Ms. Wood. During my interaction with her I brought to her attention (in a polite and kind way) the fact she has either a typo or grammatical error in the signature block of her emails. Her response to me was "Wow. Just wow!" I replied apologizing that I wasn't trying to be rude I just thought that she, as a professional, would want to know if there was an issue on her website, etc. Her response to that was the clapping emojis. I simply cannot support a business that has a rude owner. You can have a fantastic product but customer service...
