I was hoping for a great experience as I stopped in while visiting in the area. Unfortunately from the first step in it went south. No one to greet you or a sign to say seat yourself, so I awkwardly sat at the bar. No friendly greeting from the bartender and whatever you do, avoid ordering drinks like an old fashioned. He will roll his eyes and show his distain for making it. I donāt know if he just doesnāt know how to make one, or if he just made it wrong on purpose but I had to choke it down. I decided to order Togo and I should have listened to my gut and just left after the rude way the bartender was behaving but I was hungry and tried from traveling from Florida. The burger was not good, tasted like it had been cooked to death on a dirty flattop. I took one bite and threw it away.
I can see if the place was busy and the staff was weeded to not be as friendly but it was not busy at all. While I was there the atmosphere was boarding on middle school you donāt belong here energy. It felt like I was an unwanted inconvenience. I even told the bartender that Iād take something else if he canāt make an old fashioned but he wouldnāt listen to me.
I hate to give one star reviews on non chain restaurants but this place needs a serious energy cleanse. If you donāt want to serve people all types of people not just locals you might want to find another industry. Iāve retired from that industry and because I worked in restaurants I always tip over 20% even when itās bad. I did that here too. I hope he saw that 40% tip and thought to himself maybe I should be nicer to people. This lady just gave a great tip even though I treated her like she was an...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place was a hidden gem. My wife and I were traveling home from Pittsburgh and got off the highway in Grove City to find a place to eat. While there were several choices near the outlet mall we decided to drive into Grove City and found the Broad Street Grill. I had the Pierogis with carrots and coleslaw. My wife chose the Chicken and Broccoli pasta. We started with an order of onion rings. The onion rings came out and we were please to find that these were obviously hand made and fresh battered, and they were delicious. The Pierogis were also hand made and the carrots were fresh (not frozen or canned) and both were awesome. The portion on my wife's chicken and broccoli was HUGE and it was also fresh and delicious. The place was very well maintained with a spacious seating area in the front (with a beautiful tin ceiling) and a bar in the back. We left with carry out containers with about 1/2 of my wife's pasta and 1/3 of our order of onion rings and for less than $40 for the two of us (shared appetizer, dinner, one soda, one water and a generous tip for excellent service) For anyone who stops at the outlet malls, PLEASE drive the 4 miles into Grove City to check this place out. This place is the real deal. After a weekend in Pittsburgh where we had done our homework, I'd throw this in as our tied for our best meal of the trip, and we found this place on a lark. Well done Broad...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWas in Grove City for the state of Pennsylvania Republican Senate debate. This restaurant came up on the GPS says something near the college where the event was being held so we decided to eat dinner here beforehand. I thought the experience was excellent! Two thumbs up for excellent service excellent food decent pricing and I just don't have a bad thing to say about this restaurant.
What I really appreciated is that I forgot my leftovers, and I called into the restaurant probably about 15 minutes after I realized that I had forgotten the food. Not only did they save my food, but they put it in the fridge with the hopes that I would call in so they could give it to me. So when I actually did call in, they already knew exactly who I was and what I had forgotten and they said no problem they would have it there for me after the event.
And since I left my car at the restaurant and I rode with my friends to the event, it was very easy to stop in afterwards, pick up my food, and be on my way. It was just a really nice gesture for them to do that and I highly recommend this restaurant for the really friendly and caring service, as well as the great food, great atmosphere, and a great experience while...
