Attempts to deliver a cultural cuisine, of poor quality, without a savory taste. The Greek type salad almost tasteless arrived with canned cut olives on iceberg type lettuce with a few tiny pieces of welcomed Persian cukes and under ripe slices of tomato. The eggplant appetizer came without a bread to spread it on, and it wasn't very tasty, bland. The main dish was a sweet chicken "stew ", more like a puree to eat with a plate of white rice. I've eaten better persian/turkish/Greek food elsewhere as to.state our palates know good Mediterranean/persosn food. Oh, the lentil soup was tasteless, how can a cook not.make it savory? The attitude of the owner/manager was surprising too, as he was very negative about his business. Maybe this was a bad day for the restaurant, but I had eagerly awaited sampling the menu. If the owner/manager would welcome his customers as they arrive (we were the only ones there) and have explanations about the entress or a sampling plate, this would lend interest. I have travelled and lived all over the middle east, but have not experienced such a disinterested staff and blamd ess...
Read moreMy friend and I dined here a few weeks ago on a Saturday night. We got seated quickly and were in for a treat because we got this server from the heavens named Tiffany. She took such good care of us throughout the meal, giving us a soup sample and explaining everything about our food. It made the experience that much more immersive and delectable since we’d never eaten Persian food before. Every time she came by, she was super sweet, bubbly, and funny, and made us laugh and I even saw her sitting at another table to take their order as they all chat together. She is the prime of restaurant service and I wish I had more Tiffanys on my meals out—it’d make all my food taste so much better! On our way out; she got the door for us and admired the moon with us too. She is absolutely precious and amazing. I don’t know if I’ll ever see her again because it was just a visit back to my college town, but I hope and know she will be superb...
Read moreFirst visit here. Haven't had much experience with Persian food so I can't compare with other places but for the most part it was good. The Paneer Sabzi appetizer was not what I expected. There were no tomatoes or scallions like the menu advertised. I was surprised how long it took to get a dish that required no cooking. And overpriced at $5.99, but the Feta cheese was amazing. The Bademjoon stew was tasty and very comfort food. And the basmati rice with saffron was heavenly. The Chicken Kodeh wrap was good, but could've used a little more of the "sauce". The Olovieh sandwich was pretty much the same as the wrap except stuffed with potato salad. The saffron pistachio ice cream was yummy. Service was friendly, but again the food took awhile. Good thing we had time for a leisurely lunch. Will be returning to try dinner...
