My Brothers Coffee Company — Restaurant in Gurley

I'm glad Gurley has a coffeeshop in the area again! I've missed 80 Beans. I have friends in this area and also pass through for work regularly, so this spot is convenient to grab a cup.

They do have a drive-through as well, but I stopped inside on my two visits so far simply because I wasn't in a huge hurry and I enjoyed the very pleasant banter with the staff and a gentleman I'm fairly sure is the owner. I seem to recall this place being the new project of the folks who use to run the Manic Organic food truck, but I'm not completely sure.

At any rate, if you do choose to step inside, you'll be greeted warmly. There's a small seating area with books and an unobtrusive, background noise TV. The air conditioning was working over time but it was nice and cool inside! There's a very large back patio/yard area and they seem to do community events like concerts, farmer's markets, and so on from time to time.

The menu consists of an impressive array of flavored lattes, coffee classics, and some simple pastries. On my first visit, I nabbed a lemon poppyseed muffin. It was yummy, subtly lemony, and went great with the coffee. Drink-wise, I tried one of this month's specials (German chocolate cake) and then their most popular seller, the Snickerdoodle latte. They both taste impressively like the goodie they're meant to mimic, and I enjoyed both drinks immensely.

The owner also kindly clued me and my family in to Gurley's impressive 4th of July fireworks display, which my parents attended and thoroughly enjoyed!

Great coffee is only the start of it. Yes, My Brothers Coffee has great coffee, hands down, but that's just where it starts. The options for a quick bite to eat are always amazing as well, but to top all this off, the customer service and quality of character of the owner and his staff absolutely cannot be beat! This is more than a "coffee shop" if you take the time to fellowship. If you choose to pass this place up for a "chain" coffee shop, not only are you doing the community a huge disservice, you're doing yourself a disservice as well. You'll be giving money to rich corporations who don't care who you are or what you're interest are and you'll be paying good money for a subpar (at best) cup of trash "coffee" that's disguise with syrup and who knows what! If you stop in at My Brother Coffee, not only will you be supporting a small "mom and pop", but you will be giving money for great quality coffee to great quality people. You...

I love My Brothers Coffee Co!! They are my Saturday starter and they make the coffees sooo quick but somehow also so delicious! The owner is there quite often and is very kind and knowledgable, he trains his staff well and they have a wonderful environment not only around the shop but between the coworkers. Most coffee chains you go to, the people seem to be unhappy to work there.. but NEVER at My Brothers!!
