5+2🌟 I've eaten steaks, prime rib, and lobster all over the United States. Compared to other steakhouses, you get good value for your dollar. It's a local entity it's been there for a good while. I've never had a rude or unknowledgeable server. 👍One of the best servers we've had anywhere is Eric! He is worth every penny of a 30 or 40% tip. Eric made sure that our glasses were full, we had enough butter and inquired about our satisfaction several times.👍 If you haven't had the Brandy alexander, get one, you won't be disappointed! I am Native American my wife is African-American, we go there for steak and lobster a couple of times a month. The ribeye is fantastic, the prime rib is delicious, I love the the end piece, the selection of wine and drink is top-notch. You know a steakhouse that serves seafood also has a good grill master when you don't need to drench your entrée with steak sauce or butter. The flavor of the steak and the flavor of the seafood tells the story. We will continue to go back every couple of weeks as a treat to ourselves, we wouldn't do it if it was terrible or unpalatable cuisine, there are too many other places to spend our money. I will say this, you will spend about half of what you would at the Hob Nob up the road in Wisconsin, and the food is better! 😲👍 Hint, when you order the lobster tail, tell them to put it on the grill for a few minutes to give it a little sear on top, it just enhances the flavor tremendously. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Also the salad bar isn't active anymore until the covid outbreak is over and done with🥺

Hidden gem behind a Mobile station!! We've lived in this area for over 20 years and never knew it existed!! Came here with my parent's for my birthday... DELICIOUS steaks and sides! We got there early...5ish, on a Thursday (they open at 4pm), and by 6pm they were packed! Great bar, food and lots of TVs, and I'll be coming back with my friends! Only cons: Very pricey and no free cake or pie for your birthday! :( Ok... so we went here for my birthday again! They are really pricey, but their steaks are delicious! I had the 12oz filet mignon (perfectly cooked rare), and a baked potato. (Note: if you ask for it loaded, you'll be charged an extra $4!!!!!! You'd think they'd include that seeing their prices are so high!) My parent's split the Filet Oscar meal. Again at these prices, you'd think there would be no problem splitting a meal in half for a couple of 85yr olds, but they wouldn't accommodate that, so they did it on their own. Good thing is now they sing Happy Birthday and gave me a scoop of ice cream with whipped cream on top! 🍨

I was so excited to come here because I thought the atmosphere was awesome but the food wasn't that great because it was overcooked and kind of burnt in my steak $64 and I thought that it was going to be is super amazing for the price but I was very disappointed but the lobster bisque is always amazing but that doesn't make up for the fact that after I didn't enjoy my food the waiter named Andrew followed me out in the parking lot complaining that he only got a $15 tip Andrew said the quality of the food there doesn't matter and that he should get a 25% tip because it's a fancy restaurant and I was kind of feeling like he was going to be up to something because I paid with 3 $50 dollar bills and he said if he had to bring me change then it was going to be a while so I told him that's okay I have plenty of time but following somebody out in the parking lot and yelling and screaming at them is definitely no way to run a business and to say the least I'm very disappointed in this place👎

First off let me start by saying the waiting staff and the front of house were sensational. They were very kind, and willing to accommodate our 7 month daughter but overall I can't say much else was good.

I can give two items on the menu a subpar score, the opener bread and the French Onion Soup. Everything else was atrocious.

My $44 Ribeye was pretty much all fat, and was cooked blue rare (I asked for medium rare)... The top of the steak was chard to hell, but the inside was completely pink. I kept looking over to my wife and seeing that her steak was less fatty so I thought I maybe got a bad cut....... Nope, her $44 Ribeye was also chard to shit, and blue rare. The steak was damn near inedible... (And I'm a big guy that'll pretty much eat anything)

Got the garden salad appetizer and it wasn't terrible, but three of the cauliflowers were still frozen.

If you look through my profile you can tell that I leave mostly nice reviews, with a few expectations...... This is a few exceptions....

This is hands down, by far, the WORST STEAK I HAVE EVER HAD THE DISPLEASURE OF EATING IN MY LIFE.

I honestly don't understand how they have been in business since 1985, it must have been good at some point, but that was WAY in the past.

Our bill ended up being 130.00 and I honestly felt robbed. I would rather eat a burn diner steak, at least there I know what I'm getting.

I was expecting a ton, and didn't receive anything.. HUGE DISSAPPONTMENT...

Overheard from another table that the head chef quit tonight (Feb 14, Valentine's Day) because he was making more money plowing snow... I wished for our sake and our fellow customers sakes they woulda given him a one night pay bump.... I don't think it woulda helped but it probably woulda been better than what we got....

Lastly, the ambiance is exceptional but the clientele leave a lot to be desired..... I over heard a customer at the bar talking shit that we brought our baby in the RESTURANT...... My first thought was slow your roll, this isn't Gibson's, or Wildfire, (or any of the other sensational steak houses in Chicago) remember where you are..... Any resturant in lake county should accommodate for kids..... I mean unless there is a no kid rule, and your food is actually good....

By the way I'm calling to...

Just left after waiting well over an hour for a sandwich and chopped steak. Let me set the stage: called ahead to ask if there was a wait for table. “No, come right in” we were there 5 minutes later. Hostess looks confused where to seat us, says it might take a few minutes for our waiter. Ok no problem. We wait, finally comes over, takes our drink order, and we wait…. Finally comes to take our highly specialized meal request: Prime rib French dip, medium well, and chopped steak, please with onions crisped up. Long story short: people start stacking up like cord wood for a table, party of 4 who arrived 40 minutes after us are getting served their extremely pricey prime rib dinner. Waiter tells us as he is passing by with their loaded plates “sorry for the delay, your meal will be right out” mind you, we hadn’t seen him at that point for a long time. Nor the hostess who was stopping by other tables to check on them and ignoring us. Waiter comes back to CHECK ON TABLE OF 4’s meal. Not a word to us. Comes back again. No, not with our meal that supposedly was coming right out, but for a cocktail for same party of 4. He is breezing by our table, ignoring us until we stop him and ask basically, where is our meal. We have now been waiting on over an hour. AFTER THE ORDER WAS PLACED. My husband says, if it’s not started, cancel it. 20 more minutes go by “ oh sorry, it’s not done, don’t know what happened, blah blah. I said “ table of four came in way after us, got their 4 steak dinners right away and they couldn’t get a sandwich and chopped steak started” his reply “ I don’t know why or what happened, but I don’t cook the meals” For. Real. This asshat let us sit there all that time, told us our meal was coming out, and that was his kind response. They “comped” us a salad, iced tea, & a beer. I am sure if we ordered their insanely priced steaks, we would have received our meal in a timely manner. Used to go here when you could grill your own steak. Will never come back. Unless you are eating geriatric early, expect a long wait, and to drop some heavy coin on a meal. Stage Stop in Wilmot knows how to treat customers. This is...

I don't know where to start. We were celebrating my birthday and my fiancé's birthday together, our birthdays are a week apart from each other. My fiancé felt like having steak so we Googled some nearby places, their menu looked decent and had a fairly wide amount of choices. We got there first with one of my friend, waitress came by asked what we wanted to drink. Disappeared, never brought any bread. We had to call her over to order appetizers. We had a half hour wait until my mom, sis and her boyfriend were gonna arrive so we had something to start off with. When they came, she never asked if they were gonna have drinks, they had to call her over to get them drinks. They ordered some more appetizers then we picked our meals and asked if we can have some bread because up to that point we still never got any. Our meals came, mom's prime rib looked good and tasted good. My fiancé had the seafood kebabs, those were good. I can't recall what my sis had but it was steak, she said it was ok. Now for her boyfriend and me, I ordered the crusted rib eye, first time our stuff came out it was overdone. Manager came over said he will have them done again. At this point my sis boyfriend was getting tired of the crappy service, he decided to pass on his steak. My second one that came out was charred on the outside and raw on the inside...guess the chef can't accept he screwed up so decided to be a smart ass. I was over it by then and didn't want a third try. Manager came out again and said yes that way underdone then said " desserts " on us however later they took off only one dessert item. We told him we all heard "desserts" He didn't bother hiding his emotions at all, could totally tell how pissed he was after he walked away with an attitude. Oh and how can I forget, they undercooked my friend's sweet potato fries plus her soda was flat so she had to get do overs for the fries, she said the burger was nothing to talk about. Worse dine out experience I've ever had. Never going back...
