5+5+5+5🌟 We've been eating on and off at Buona beef for 25 years. My wife turned me on to it when she was working in Des plaines. I have to admit, it's changed some, it was much more self-serve in its earlier incarnation. That being said, it still tastes the same. But I miss the bigger stores. The beef, the dogs, the burgers, salads, all top notch, all fresh. The jardinier, fantastic. I kind of wish they would go back to the whole wheat Italian bread, you never have to worry about gluten allergies if they go back to the old Italian way of making bread. Hot Italian bread and butter, man, that thought right there, brings back some old Taylor Street memories. My wife had the walnut avocado strawberry spring lettuce salad, with chicken on top. And lemonade along with some cheese fries. I had a double cheeseburger with everything, cheese fries, and a Dr Pepper. I was full, so I didn't go next door for ice cream. But I will tell you that that ice cream is really good! By the way, they take their cleanliness serious, the bathrooms were spotless along with the kitchen and the dining room. If you go to a place and the bathrooms are filthy, you better leave. Just a tidbit I learned...
Read moreThe girl at the counter, was very nice. The receipt said her name was Emily. I ordered an oreo milkshake which was surprisingly more difficult to order than i had planned. Originally i ask the Rainbow Cone counter for an oreo milkshake only to find out they don’t do shakes but the Buona side does. Odd. However, i had to ask the nice cashier what a sweet treat bit milkshake was because the description for the item was “ vanilla milkshake with sweet treat bits”
As someone who’s never been to a Buona location before i had no idea what sweet treat bits are. It would help your customers to know what the ingredients are before purchasing. So if you’re like me and don’t know what the “ bits” are, it’s peanut butter cups and oreo pieces and one other candy that i can’t remember. And you can order each of those ingredients separately in a milkshake. Overall good experience slightly disappointed in having to go to the other counter and not clear...

For whatever reason they kept adding a beef sandwich on because we were told the meatball sandwich was not part of a meal after sitting at the drive-through for five minutes trying to get the order correct we were told to pull up once we pulled up we were met with a manager at the window who asked for my form of payment write our order back to us and got it wrong I went over our order one more time and was told the order was $45 I explained that there’s a beef sandwich on there that we don’t want the manager looked utterly confused and nobody could understand we did not want beef sandwich we wanted a meatball sandwich with a fry a drink a salad and a drink to avoid explaining this all over again I asked for my card back and drove off I don’t understand how it...
