I had a 6-piece chicken strip combo with medium fries and a small chocolate malt with a pump of marshmallow topping. Arriving at the height of the dinner rush hour, I was optimistic that I would get good, freshly cooked food. I did! But there's more. My chicken strips were freshly made and each of them were a full size strip! Oftentimes, I leave feeling jipped when at least two are disproportionately small (and they don't give you the courteous "extra strip" to compensate). My fries were not only fresh, but well salted-- an absolute must in my opinion; you can't salt fries after the oil has dried. My accompanying gravy was filled ALL THE WAY to the fill line, and my malt even EXCEEDED the fill line! I felt spoiled. It always helps when you show up at mealtime when there's lots of turnover in the food, but having all of those components in place indicates that the whole crew-- every individual that had a hand in making my food (which is at least three following the Braum's "How to Make" book standards) is invested in their jobs and committed to sending out quality food, which is always refreshing to witness in the fast food industry....
Read moreI stopped here so I could eat some food before I took some medicine. The restroom was clean! When I went to order, at 6:15am, after the time change when we all got an extra hour of sleep, nobody came to help me. There was an employee cleaning the soft drink machine 10 ft to my left and another behind the counter. After standing patiently for too long, with not a peep of acknowledgement from either one, I turned quietly and walked out the door. After exiting, I glanced over my shoulder and the gentleman at the soft drink machine was watching me leave. I made it a point to drive on by the Braum's in Woodward and stopped at a gas station for a piece of Hunt Brothers pizza. The folks in Woodward are probably fine but I just couldn't make myself stop. In the 30+ years I've been making my own dining decisions, I've only found two 5 star Braum's restaurants. One is just south of I44 on Pennsylvania Ave in OKC, the other is south of Pryor on Hwy 69. Most of the others get 4 stars, including the one in Claremore, near where I live. Really surprised when I...
Read moreAll I need to say is that corporate really needs to visit this place I have came in 2 days in a row and asked for simple icecream flavors like vanilla or chocolate my last time going was Tuesday March 7th it is ridiculous that the general manager doesn't order what the restaurant needs they told me I'd have to wait until a truck load came in because they didn't have hardly anything..they didnt have the Breads for birthday cake sundays nor the banana split containers . They were limited on icecream for a couple days. Corporate really needs to hire a general manager that actually cares about their jobs, I understand having personal problems but the employees need to learn to leave it at the door as soon as they get to work. The kids have wonderful service, but I don't understand the lady who is always just walking around in market and sometimes she checks you out, these kids are multi tasking and I'm so proud of how they maintain...
