I wish i could give ZERO stars! I never cared for this place, but my Mama likes it and so we'd go there two or three times a month. All the servers were nice EXCEPT the owners wife Crystal! My Mama is 80 years old, and hard of hearing, she mistakenly called Crystal by the name Tracy twice, and as she was asking her to put the salt for her margarita inside the glass not on the rim. Crystal didn't acknowledge hearing her until my Mama said it again as she was walking away. She turned around and came to our table, leaned down and very sarcasticly said..... First my name is Crystal NOT Tracy and if you yell at me again I'm not making it at all! She was pointing her finger at my Mama as she said this. No one had yelled at her!!! My Mama said oh, I'm sorry, but she had already spun around and scurried off. The hurt look on my Mama's face almost made me cry. She never cameback to our table she sent the drink with another server instead. Crystal had put about an inch of salt in the bottom of the glass, not just as much as there would have been on the rim. She drank a little of it, but couldn't drink but maybe half, if that much. Crystal of course did that on purpose. That woman SHOULD NOT be working on the floor as a server, she's unfit due to her attitude! Apparently, she never learned to respect her elders. I was beyond mad, my cousin was upset too, but my Mama kept saying please, don't make a scene. So we didn't say anything. This was about 3 weeks ago. We have not been back and will NEVER go back. My dad was angry when we told him, he's not going there anymore....my cousin's whole family refuse to go there now and the American Legion Auxiliary dinner used to be there, but it will no longer be held at this place! If you have elderly parents or are elderly yourself, I urge you, DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! Your establishment has lost about 17 ppls business due to that Crystal woman! I don't expect a reply as other reviews have gotten seeing as how it was the attitude of the owners wife that led me to give...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe both ordered the 12oz ribeye Medium RARE. Size of the steak was as big as the plate but was cut so thin, no matter how short of a time on the grill, it would have been over cooked. Both steaks came out well done. Very disappointed. No seasoning was added to the steak so it was very bland. I ordered the loaded baked potato and my partner order a baked sweet potato. My potato came out cold. Literally cold in the center. Cheese and butter did not melt. Sour cream came pre portioned which would not be an issue however the sour cream had severely separated into a watery mess I wouldnāt feed my dog. Dinner roll was doughy, flat and undercooked as well. Not a meal Iād order again.
Drinksā¦prices on point, if there was actual alcohol in the mixed drink. Tap beers were $2.50/drink. Excellent. I ordered the Cherry Limeade. Asked for it in a short glass, because I canāt drink a lot and eat at the same time due to a medical condition. Drink came in a tall beer glass. Couldnāt taste any alcohol. Syrup was overpowering. Tasted like the drink I order at Sonic but donāt pay $6 for.
Serviceā¦slloooowwww! We waited a significant amount of time for a server. Wasnāt busy at all. Ordered drinks and those came out the same time our food came to the table. Server was not rude or anything. Just seemed unsure, quiet and not your typical friendly bar server you hope to encounter at an establishment such as this. Check backs didnāt happen. Never asked about the food or for refills on bar beverages. My partner had to go to the bar himself to get a second beer. Was going to order dessert but the server game with the check about the time our food and drinks arrived which was a real turn off. I had my eye on the chocolate cake, but was not even given the opportunity to order it. Opportunity missed for sales, up sells and refills. The owner of this establishment would benefit from serious retraining of staff. Menu and atmosphere has great potential to be so much more than it....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAlright. I've finally willed myself to do this.
First, the positives: the staff is always on point, the bar drinks are balanced and there's plenty of variety and the lady that was running the bar said that as long as they have the ingredients, they can pretty much make whatever you want. Also: for a sleepy little town like Guymon, this place does have at least SOME sort of night scene, especially if you like live country bands.
And now for the negatives: The food is forgettable and I hate to say that because...this seems to be normal for this town. I order the buffalo wings in a vain attempt to find a restaurant in this town that actually knows how to make them and I am, yet again, left disappointed. If you serve wings that were previously breaded or already have seasoning on them, they are not "traditional" buffalo wings-they're wing dings. It's like nobody wants to take the time to develop their own sauces or dustings to truly make these things their own and it's frustrating. Refs is WAY worse, though so good job in not being that bad? I guess? And the wings at Pub and Roundtop are the same? ...do the same people own the restaurants here in town? Are you allergic to variety? Creativity? For as busy as this place is, I think you can do better. Especially with such an amazing...
