Is this the worse chipotle in the world? Maybe. But is it the worst chipotle I’ve ever been to? Absolutely. I’ve been to this location several times and every single time there is an issue. The first few times I’d gone the rice was either undercooked or simply burnt. This is frustrating because rice is the base in almost anything you get from chipotle. I chose not to write a review because I decided instead to go to the chipotle 5 minutes away on Route 4 in Paramus, they are the FAR better choice. But tonight I’m writing a review because when I visited this location tonight just before closing and asked if they had white rice the employee at T1 told me they didn’t have any. However their cook heard me ask and she said yes we do have white rice, to which she pulled out to serve. Now I understand I was the last customer and they want to go home, but I was already frustrating that the crew just decided that they were not going to make burritos for the rest of the evening and started cleaning up the tortilla press before they even closed. Which meant when I asked for a burrito the employee downright told me no. But this is what set me off completely, when the cook brought out the white rice the crew member at T1 began to scoop plan white rice and attempt to put it in my bowl. She didn’t attempt to mix cilantro, lime, or salt. Why? Probably because she wanted to go home. When I asked if she could make the rice as per the standard she said “no, we don’t have any cilantro to mix into it”. This was either a blatant lie or a reflection on the KM’s ability to order and prep in the morning. Ultimately I decided to leave, because this restaurant continuously leaves a sour taste in my mouth, literally and figuratively. If you’ve made it this far into my review I suggest that you just go to the chipotle on Route 4 in Paramus. They’re not perfect but atleast they don’t burn your food, give you plan rice, and serve they FULL menu by recipe until 10pm. Oh any they were out of guacamole. This location sucks. I can’t imagine them being at restauranteur level.
TLDR; this location sucks, they burn rice, rush to close, and it’s worth it to just drive 5 minutes up the street to...

none of the girls that make your order speak a lick of english. i’m hispanic, i get that they need job opportunities too but maybe make a effort to at least give off a friendly gesture or smile if you can’t interact with your words. this is what business and being in customer service/food service is about. they look at you like your bothering them for wanting them to do THEIR job. don’t come here if you don’t want to work.
inside was dirty. the rice was undercooked and literal grains. the steak was like rubber. i could count the pieces of steak on my bowl that’s how small of a portion it was. i asked for chips, it’s 8:45 on a thursday, says they’re out, but im staring at maybe 15 bags of chips underneath the counter hidden. probably for employees meals. nice job guys. i decided not to say anything and just get a tortilla instead. honestly, i shouldn’t haven’t even been charged for that. the girl made me tortilla and basically balled it up inside of the foil??
tabasco sauces empty. forks empty. only spoons. garbage pales blocking off the side of the restaurant to sit. i understand you all want to go home but it’s 8:45, an hour and 15 before you close and you have about 5 FULL garbages in the middle of the restaurant. really? employee comes over to where im standing to get my spoon, with her own meal, speaking loudly laughing across the restaurant to other employees, completely in my personal space turns around and smacks me with her braids. can’t make this stuff up.
this is not the first issue i’ve had at chipotle. they seem to have a high turn around time with employees since there’s a new crew in there every couple of months. i keep thinking they’ll get better but never do. someone’s really slacking in management or higher...
Read moreI ordered takeout online from this Chipotle and asked for the food to be ready for pickup at 3:15 p.m. I got there about 10 minutes early, and the place was almost full, with a dozen girls from a sports team, groups of adults and others filling the tables.
The staff was working as hard as possible to fill orders, but I noticed rice scattered on the counter where they were assembling the bowls and other items.
At 3:15, I went to the pickup shelves, but my order wasn't there. I asked the young woman behind the counter if she had a takeout order for Victor, and she said no. She asked another staffer, a man, and he looked and saw my order, told me it was ready and then went in the back to get bags with handles.
He asked whether I had ordered tortillas or other sides, and I said no. I asked if the tortillas were non-GMO or organic, and he said he didn't know.
When I got home, the Vegetarian Bowl I ordered for me and two other family members was warm. but not hot, and to tell the truth it wasn't much of a meal for $7.70 plus tax. I also got a Whole30 bowl with carnitas or pork for a fourth member of the family that cost more than $10.
While I was waiting for my order, I looked around at couples or groups of middle-aged people eating at Chipotle at wondered how they could possibly think this food was suitable for a night out.
Chipotle gets credit for serving higher quality food than chains like McDonald's and Burger King, but this Chipotle is in a shopping center that offers 2 Chinese restaurants, a Korean restaurant, a Chinese supermarket serving dim sum and other food, and a 5 Guys hamburger place.
I've eaten at two of the Asian places and I would much prefer a vegetarian meal there than what I brought home from Chipotle, and it would come with better...
