Gabby's Pizza — Restaurant in Hackettstown

ATTENTION: WE ARENT PARTNERED WITH GRUBHUB OR DOORDASH IM THE PIZZA GUY OF THIS PLACE AND WE HAVE OUR OWN DRIVERS GRUBHUB GIVES BAD SERVICE AND CUSTOMERS BLAME US THEY HAVE THE WRONG PRICES AND IS HORRIBLE TO DEAL WITH THEM PLEASE IF YOU WANNA ORDER CALL US... JUST TODAY SOMEONE PLACED AND ORDER THROUGH GRUB HUB THEY CALLED US AND MADE THE ORDER AND WE SAID IF YOU CAN PAY OVER THE PHONE WE CAN MAKE IT BECAUSE WE HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WHERE THEY CANCEL SOMETIMES AND WE LOOSE MONEY AND THEY SAID YEAH DONT MAKE THE FOOD TILL DRIVER GETS THERE.... GRUBHUB DRIVER SHOW UP AND ASKS FOR THE ORDER I POLITLELY SAID IT WILL TAKE 10 MINUTES HE SAID I AINT WAITING FOR THAT CANCEL IT SO CUSTMER CALLS ANGRY AND YELLS AT US WE TEY TO EXPLAIN THAT WE DONT WORK WITH GRUB HUB AND THAT HIS DRIVER CANCELED THE ORDER FOR HIM AND HE GOT MAD AND THREATENED TO WRITE BAD REVIEWS IM JUST POSTING THIS FOR PEOPLE TO UNDERSTAND NOT JUST FOR GABBYS BUT FOR OTHER RESTAURANTS THAT ARENT PARTNERED UP WITH GRUB OR DOORDASH AND THEY GET BAD REVIEWS BECAUSE OF GRUB HUBS FAULT PLEASE I HOPE UOU GUYS UNDERSTAND AND AGAIN WE CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH WE HAVE DRIVERS YES OUR MILEGAGE IS 10 MILE RADIUS BUT WE TRY OUR BEST TO BE QUICK...

To start, we called to ensure that the hours were correct. To say that their phone etiquette was not good is understated. But that did not deter the Pizza Hunters App while looking for the Best Slice of Pizza. First impressions that the place did not look clean. The glass had hand prints everywhere. The 12 tables in the place had large numbers above each table which really lessened the look. The garbage can had 3 whole pizzas in it from pies that were clearly over cooked. We finally placed our order and the man behind the counter was not friendly. The phone rings and we got to listen to an apparent customer who was not happy about their order, and we didn't even get our slices yet. The experience matched the pizza slice. Not very good. Basically no sauce on the slice with no form to the crust which was doey and wet. Another pizza parlor that just takes your money with no communication. Did you enjoy your pizza? Edit: Me and some friends got together to compare some of our favorite pizza spots in a blind taste test review. Gabby's ended up winning so I'm changing this review to a 5/5 out of respect.

Additional details: All the pizza was plain. One who didn't participate keyed all places to a number and handed out pizza on a numbered paper plate. The pizza was also reheated back to optimal temperature using an oven and pizza stone. We would then write down our rating out of 10. At the end those ratings would be averaged and the final list would then be revealed...
