Yayyy, New owner's and they are open!!!

I called in an order at 11a when they opened. The young lady who answered the phone was very helpful and patient with me, I could be a lot sometimes when it comes to ordering food. I arrived at about 11:10 a.m. and waited about 5 minutes, Russ - one of the owners brought out my food. Thank you!

It was yummy and I ate it all 😊

I ordered the shrimp platter with onion rings and it came with coleslaw.

With a tip I paid just under $20

I will be back!!

2022 This was my first visit here since living in Higganum for the past year.

11:30 a.m. on a Thursday in the temperature is in the mid 60s.

Extremely kind service and with three people ahead of me, my order was ready within 10 minutes.

I ordered the 8-piece jumbo shrimp which came with fries and coleslaw. Tartar sauce, lemon and ketchup. $20.

I also ordered a small mint chocolate chip cup, ice cream is made by Gifford's out of Maine.

The parking lot was pretty full and I will say pulling in and out can be a challenge, especially when it's busy.

My family, friends, and I have been semi-frequent customers for over a decade. We've seen and experienced quite a few changes over the years in terms of employees, managers, and owners. Despite all of the changes, this place has never let us down! 😎👌 The employees, food, service, atmosphere, environment etc. ALL get a 10/10 every time! 😃❤ Thanks, Higgie's, for being so amazing throughout all of these years!

PS - This place comes up quick on either side of the road so get you/your blinker ready for a quick turn! Also, there's a VERY small and tight parking lot here. All cars SHOULD (!!!!) park "nose in only" and as close to each other as possible (there's no parking lines). PLEASE DO NOT park in any other way! It causes congestion in the parking lot and/or the inability for vehicles to get out due to other vehicles blocking them in....

I had a great first experience at Higgies! The strawberry milkshake was excellent — sweet, creamy, and just the right thickness. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich, and it was amazing — super flavorful with plenty of meat, and the toasted, buttery bun really took it over the top.

My Nana had the hot dog and fries — she loved the hot dog, though the fries were just okay. The wait was a little long, but totally understandable since they were very busy and had just opened.

Overall, definitely a 5-star visit. We’ll absolutely be back — I’m already looking forward to...
