The Chop Bar — Restaurant in Hagerstown

About two weeks ago on a Saturday, my cousin and I went to The Chop Bar for what was supposed to be a simple outing. Unfortunately, the experience turned into a nightmare when one of their employees totaled my cousin’s car right outside the establishment. At the time, the employee admitted fault and told us the matter would be taken care of, assuring us that the business would follow up.

Since then, we’ve made numerous attempts to reach out and get this resolved, but we’ve been met with silence. No return calls, no updates, no accountability. This is not only unprofessional but also shows a complete disregard for customers and the damage their staff caused.

It’s extremely disappointing that a business would operate this way — making promises in the moment but refusing to take responsibility afterward. If this is how they handle serious issues, I can only imagine how they manage everyday business.

I would strongly caution anyone considering this place. Between the incompetence of their employees and the lack of basic responsibility from management, I cannot recommend The Chop...

I don’t understand how their license hasn’t been suspended yet! I live in the neighborhood (Rosewood Village), and I barely sleep on weekends because of the loud music coming from this establishment, as late as 3am! I don’t know what kind of license they have, but they have no right to violate their neighbors rights. I’ll be making follow up calls to the county because this nonsense needs to stop.

I’ve lived in Rosewood Village for 10 years, and I’m considering moving. The shooting here was horrific, and has scared us residents deeply. I know longer look forward to Friday, and Saturday night. Last night it was peaceful because you were closed, and my 5 year old daughter wasn’t scared to go to sleep. She was ripped from her bed the night of the shooting. We’ve never experienced such a thing. Please take your club somewhere else. Our children would like to sleep at night...
