Global Foody Lovers — Restaurant in Haines City

My husband and I came here because we saw this place on TikTok. The food here does not disappoint whatsoever. We purchased the lemon chicken, the sweet-and-sour chicken and an order of crab Rangoon’s. The lemon chicken was bright crispy and completely delicious. The sweet-and-sour chicken is different than other shops where they fry them on the side and the sweet-and-sour sauce is also on the side. The sauce is combined with the sweet-and-sour chicken here and honestly, I’m not mad at it. Both were very tasty and well put together the crab Rangoon‘s. You can tell are freshly homemade. They are fried gently and they do have a very good filling ratio. They also have a lineup of homemade sauces that they sent home with us. Awesome duck sauce Yum Yum sauce everything here is really good and I can’t wait to come back. I’m so happy that this place is located in Central Florida. Now, while we were here, the owner was very busy. His wife is doing the cooking and preparing in the kitchen in the back while he was taking orders and balancing everything. He was very kind very sweet. With operation is just the two of them from what seems to be the looks of it. You can tell that they put a lot of passion into their cooking. The atmosphere this place is simple and I’m not mad about it usually when I do get Chinese food and take away I’m taking it to go so I don’t mind the simple basic walls. This is by far the best Asian food in the Davenport area. Stumbled across them while cruising along Highway 27 and figured I’d give it a go. We tried the crab Rangoon, the lemon chicken and the sesame chicken and they were all delicious. The crab Rangoon was the best we’ve had from any takeout spot! The lemon chicken was different from what we are used to…it wasn’t soggy or mushy or overly battered. It was more chicken than batter (if any batter at all) and the flavor was citrusy with real lemon peel but still savory and not overpowering. The sesame chicken had a great taste too a lil sweet and savory but again not soggy and not overly battered. It was very much more chicken that dough which we appreciate! Hands down the rice was top 3 favorite from all across the nation as it does not come with vegetables (no peas or carrots in the rice just rice and egg yum) and it has a delicious smoky taste to it. The pics don’t do it justice just try them out for yourself. Oh and the customer service was so good we will be back again just for the Greta conversation. The restaurant is big and has plenty of dining space for multiple families to sit down and enjoy a meal together. 10/10 stars...

Wow. We wanted dinner after visiting Legoland and saw Global Foody Lovers had excellent reviews, so we gave it a try. It may sound overdramatic, but we will not forget our experience there. The owners are phenomenal people - so welcoming, attentive, and kind to us and our children. We were all about this place even before we got our food! When we did get our food the quality was amazing. You can tell it is made fresh and with fresh ingredients, and we savored every bite until we were stuffed. The portions were large for a great price, and even the sauces were sooo good! We decided to try the donut cone ice cream, too, and yummm. A hot cinnamon sugar donut with vanilla ice cream is my new favorite dessert, but I don’t think I’ll be able to find another like it because she makes the dough herself. We left stuffed and happy, and wanting to leave an excellent review so more people are inspired to give it a try, too. You will not be disappointed in the food or the service. If we lived here we would come once a week not only for the good food, but to chat with the owners....
