Rico Rico Bakery & Restaurant — Restaurant in Haines City

Came by, to get a cheese dog I was second in line and waited a good 5 mins. The guy in front of me was ordering pastries. So I went to the hot food section to order a cheese dog since there was more coworkers in that area. A few more people came in and the workers went straight to attend the other people that came in. Twice while I was waiting in line I saw they had messed up on two different tables sandwiches and the waitress was offering them pastries or something else. I give it a three because I felt invisible for a second I had to tell one of the ladies workers and tell her I was there before everyone else and they keep skipping me. I was about to walk out. I went to sit down and one of the waitress came to the table next to me ,to apologize for the mistake on their food. She look like she was about to start crying and told them it was her first day serving at the tables. I would come back and give it a second chance. But idk if I’ll come on the weekend or give it a little bit more time till they get there rhythm. I know they’re just starting and open recently. But when I say I wanted to walk out. I felt ignored. Maybe I should have sit down and order from the table might have been easier.

I really wanted to like this place. I came in for breakfast, but even though the restaurant was empty, no one greeted me—the staff were chatting behind the counter instead. I ordered a veggie omelet and a coffee, but they didn’t include any utensils. When I went back to ask for a fork, one of the employees responded in Spanish, “What? What happened?” I explained that I just needed a fork, and she said, “Yeah, you’re supposed to ask.” When I got back to my car and opened my food, the omelet was completely raw in the middle and not edible. Great food just like Puerto Rico La Isla Del Encanto. Great prices. They are closed Satudays because that their church day and I respect that 100%. Great environment, Great vibes.
