It's hard for me to not recommend a public library.
I can't give a full review of the library as my contact with this location was minimal but I'll tell you what I can.
My oldest child had some books they were looking to get rid of and they had been looking for someplace to donate them to where they might get better use. They have actually made a couple of donations so far and had a couple of bags of books to bring in. I asked me if I had time and so I gave them a hand.
I suppose my only issue here is parking. It's pretty much all street parking but being daytime with so many businesses open it was very hard to find a space. Being as I am disabled and my child is legally blind it's a lot easier when we can find something that is closer to the entrance. I did finally find a good space near the main entrance and we went inside. If you have books or media that you'd like to donate they have a friends of the library drop location off to the right when you walk in through the main entrance. It's literally just a small cabinet that they also use for some other storage. There was already some stuff in the cabinet but plenty of room to drop off what we had. It's nice and easy and you don't actually have to deal with anyone in person.
I did take a step into the library itself to take a look around and it was much like any other library you've ever seen or been in. I spent some time perusing the stuff that the friends of the library had for sale at the front that you can purchase. There were some interesting books and a lot of media at the time we were there. Well there was nothing I was going to buy I did find a couple of choice pieces.
For the younger people out there that aren't as familiar with a library they are worth wandering into as you can always find something worth reading where you're not going to be looking...
Read moreMy first initial visit was GREAT the moment i walked to the counter I was greeted with a smile me and my 3 yr old. She was great and really made me feel like this was a friendly environment. I noticed that on Wednesday they have circle time which I came to today on time. I was never greeted nor spoken to during the entire hour. I had to literally get up and get the supplies needed to do the project with my son that was prepared. Which was on each table but where we sat due to feeling uncomfortable it wasn’t supplies there. As the instructor passed by us and NEVER SPOKE NEVER SAID HELLO WELCOME TO CIRCLE TIME. I then got up and asked for them..I thought this would be a good chance to get my son out with his peers. Not! . My husband asked me to not take him back.. It was almost like a secret sorority for the circle time club of the no manners nor no brainers. It’s CIRCLE TIME a safe space for kids...
Read moreAs soon as I walked in, I felt the cozy atmosphere and the familiar smell of books. They have an awesome computer section and big selection of movies/games.The place is set up really well, with comfy spots to read, big areas to study, and a section just for kids. There was this one staffer with dark curly hair who was just amazing. I didn't catch her name, but she helped me find what I was looking for. I had been on the hunt for this specific comic forever, and even though I was pretty vague about it, she totally nailed it. She knew the library's collection inside out and was super enthusiastic about helping me out. It felt like we were on a mission together, searching through the shelves until we finally found it! I highly recommend paying...
