Disappointing experience. I stopped here one night after work to meet a friend for a few drinks and a light dinner. There was some weird creepy group of drunk guys at one end of the bar who would not stop staring at us. And some catty group of girls at the opposite side who were very obviously friends of one of the bartenders. There was 2 blonde bartenders- One with big glasses who was very nice and who seemed to be doing all the work (named Jordan or something like that), while the other blonde woman was there doing shots and socializing with her group of friends. We sat across from them and watched her give her friends numerous free drinks telling them it’s on the house. Totally ignoring us the entire time! Then when I was ready to pay, and after I finally was able to get her attention, that same bartender tried overcharging me on my tab for a shot and a drink which I did not even order! Is this how she gives her friends “free” drinks? Good thing I was paying attention! Made me wonder how many other people she does that to. What a sneak!
Do the owners of this place know they are being robbed by that bartender? I kind of felt bad to watch her rob the profits considering the place was really not that busy. As a small business owner myself I know that every dollar counts when you are operating in a competitive industry on a slim profit margin. Anyway, it was a weird experience… not very welcoming, a shady thief bartender, and odd “crowd”. Maybe I’ll give it another shot in some time when hopefully things improve?...
Read moreDefinitely an upgrade to the previous establishment, but I shouldn't compare. Tavern & Table seems to have a solid population of regulars. The beer had some locals as well as the big names. The food seems to be bar and Italian. They had a Jiffy burger on the menu, served with peanut butter, bacon and a side of jelly. I wasn't adventurous at that time, but seemed interesting. They had a good selection of beers and the portions of the meals were generous. It is tight in the dining area though, but my wife and I were seated in 5 minutes on a Friday night at 7 pm so. My wife had chicken parm and I had a calzone, both very good and fresh. They serve some delicious garlic bread right out of the oven, and to top it off we were given 2 connolis at the end, sweet! The waitress hustled and was prompt, I think she may have been overworked a bit though, she was running food for the entire bar and dining area, prepping bread, serving, bussing, and pouring! Overall satisfied with the experience, and it's local. My suggestion,...
Read moreI got lost driving one stormy night and ended up at this place, Tavern & Table. It was around midnight. I came in and the place was jam packed with people. I approached someone in the kitchen for 'help' and it turns out to be the 'owner' who's an 'angel in disguise' in my story. I asked for help, he (the owner) did gave me more than I expected. The road direction. The $20 from his own pocket. 5 gallons of gas. I didn't catch the full name of the owner who's so kind to a total stranger like me. He also gave me something to eat & drink! Everything, free of charge. I was so blessed. My 'angel in disguise ' is heaven sent! Thank you very much for your kindness and support! I will never forget this place, Tavern & Table. 'An angel in disguise' runs it. God bless you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. ALLAN M....
